Thoughts on this for James Wiseman:

Floor: Mo Bamba
Middle: JaVale McGee
Ceiling: Rudy Gobert

He's already a better player than Bamba and JaVale so that doesn't make sense to me. He's stronger than both those guys, has a better vertical and better hands.

Curious on if these players are in or out of the draft, haven't found the official list - Bassey, Alston, Emmitt Williams, Livers, Isiaha Mike

How exactly do people assume he is strong..

Also a comparison that has Drummond as his floor and Jordan as his middle is really something considering Drummond is the better one.

I personally dont like any of the recent comps being thrown around. Javale, Jordan, Drummond, Gobert. All of those guys are extremely limited offensively while Wiseman offers a wider range of skills that can be used. He can actually shoot the ball and may be able to stretch the floor when he is not near the paint. He is more likely to develop post moves with his touch versus these other guys.

Have you see the Warriors version McGee?

I just haven't seen any form of a jumper from Wiseman outside of his HS highlights.

In Memphis, they never really showcased his shooting.

To the guy saying that Wiseman has a better vertical than McGee...you cannot be serious. Have you seen the Wizards McGee? He was a treat.

Does anyone think Wiseman can mature into an Andrew Bynum? It's a little different considering we won't see any back to the basket style centers. I still don't think it's completely dead. Just a bit revised.

Its funny if you look at DeAndre Ayton comparisons and see what he is now. He just isn't like other players in the league. It's the same with Wiseman.

Alot of people have thrown around Whiteside's name. I actually went back and watched some of his college highlights and you would be shocked at how different they look at the same age. I personally think Wiseman has the upside to be one of the best bigs in the league and a perennial All-Star. I think his floor is greater than what Whiteside is.

That is the case with alot of college programs. Players do not get to show off their full range of skills but he did take jumpers in college and he shot well enough at the line for a big at his age.

I don't see the Bynum comp either. Wiseman is a different player.

I think Wiseman's sorta like

floor; Damian Jones
mid; JaVale McGee
ceiling; better character Whiteside

It's like some people haven't ever watched Wiseman's HS tape and are just going off of his college tape which is baffling.

Do not forget that Wiseman can do these things:

Reminds me of how everyone forgot what Adebayo could do and look at him now.

I think another thing to keep in mind is Wiseman's size/length. That alone gives him a leg up over many comps, who are around 6-11 without shoes. It's like the size advantage Embiid has at C, Giannis has at PF, Durant has at SF, etc. Like even in terms of 90s Cs, it didn't matter how talented Ewing was or wasn't because he was always going to be inches shorter than Shaq in any matchup. It doesn't override everything in a matchup, but it helps quite a bit.
