It's amazing how well it's working. Not just in terms of transmission but the package they've put together. I thought the games would have a naff air to them - like practice games.
Fair play to the league, these days they are really mindful of their brand, the package they put together for fans and looking after their players. If this isn't a shining example of that; I don't know what is. Makes me glad this is the sport I care most about. You just know the NFL is going to balls things up in comparison.

Ben Simmons to the locker room. Might have hurt his back again but if not it's a foot/ankle or hamstring injury, but Elton Brand was with him.
Something to keep an eye on.

It could've been his knee the way he was lifting his leg after he went out. It didn't look serious though. Him walking on his own is a good sign. But I doubt he returns in this game. In any case, LOL if Wizards win.

Wonder how long he's out for. Looks like a weird injury so I have no idea what happened. If he isn't 100% healthy for playoffs that's massive.

That is why the NBA is the major league of the major leagues, very diverse and world wide appeal. The people running it and it’s fan base and media are light years ahead little leagues like the NHL and even big brands like MLB and like the NFL. MLB policy on return to play is disaster now with the COVID and it was smart on Canada closing its borders on them including on their only major league team. That major Chinese market $$$ is going to come back at some point and if they were ever to improve travel tech, I could see an NBA team in China.

Green89 wrote:#1 seed is meaningless this year. So with "home court" you get extra crowd noise and CGI logos laid over the court. Big deal.
Yes but Nets/Magic are automatic sweeps for Milwaukee/Toronto. Same thing for the Lakers at least in the west. 3-6 seeds will be a blood bath in the east round 1 depending on what version of 76ers show up. If Embiid draws Celtics front court in round 1 that could be an interesting series.

This is good for Denver. They weren’t winning a championship in the future with Murray as there second best player.

West gonna be brutal again next year. Warriors with Steph/Klay coming back. Suns might be on the verge of breaking out and can challenge for a playoff spot. Pelicans will hopefully have a full season of Zion. Only questionables are Kings (KANGZ! Should replace Luke Walton really), OKC (depending on what they do with CP3), and Wolves (sell to KG now!).

Part of the reason LBJ made them figure out finishing the season! He can see his window closing, he knows he has this season as one of his last best hopes! The long break probably helped him so much more than most players and he's one of the few guys left who knows what it takes and how to get his team (even weaker teams) to the champ round. Gotta hope the lakers face every team with good perimeter offenders, hope one can feast on that weakness and come out victorious. At the very least a team like portland can tire their help defenders enough to soften things up for the next round. they will probably sweep portland but I don't see it being easy. I don't think portland has a chance if LBJ and AD stay healthy but CJ and Dame can feast, also they have a true offensive C who can keep their bigs honest in Nurk. Melo will have to be really good too but they have guys who can handle him in AD or LBJ.
All in all, this could be one of the best playoffs in history for both conferences. could be a slugfest.

I completely agree. I feel as if this is the last oppotunity for James barring some crazy circumstances where he gets lucky. It's a shorter season, different format. To me I also believe this is the best opportunity for the Bucks as 2 of their main guys in Lopez and Hill have been injury prone their entire careers but are healthy now and performing.
Good assessment:
PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

With the playoffs opening in less than two weeks, this could potentially sideline Simmons at least through part of the first round. Google says it's a 4-6 week injury but we'll see.

They'll be fine. Savior Shake to the rescue.

JK, get well soon, Ben! We want to beat them fair and square.
