YOUR Washington Bullets are 24-44 and for all intents and purposes are eliminated from a postseason play-in!

For some good ol' Friday night hoops, they play the Pelicans who have also been a bit disappointing with the restart. Though they had a big win against the Grizzlies. But they took a big L to the Kings today.

The Pels are better than we are at every position. It’s kind of sad. Their reboot quickly got them blue chippers.

I don't think this is particularly noteworthy.

When Beal and Bertans bowed out of the bubble, the Wizards basically announced that they were forfeiting the season. This is essentially Summer League for them.

I don't think the Hornets would have caught the Wizards if the Wizards were actually trying. (Not to mention that the Hornets would certainly lose a lot of games if they were in the bubble facing playoff teams every single night.)

Well, we are missing our 3 best players. That's worth mentioning.

The question for the pelicans is who d they keep and who do they trade. They should really be trying to get a blue-chip player to pair with Ingram and Zion.

Pelicans sheer luck. Winning the AD and Zion lotteries. Even with that unbelievable fortune I'm not enamored with their team.

I'd expect the Wiz to win the matchup at center: Bryant vs. Biyumbo.

Zion sitting when fighting for a playoff spot? I know that we suck but still. Stop babying him. I played with a lot of fat kids on the playground. It doesn't mean that they will get hurt. Let him play himself into shape

Much better play from the big 3. Defense still wretched.

Pelicans are really unimpressive, I don't understand the hype behind them. Ingram is good, but seems like empty calories most of the time. Lonzo is really bad at basketball and they're poorly coached.

Reminder, the Wizards are playing without their 3 best players, exclusively against playoff teams, with no home court advantage.

And they're not all that good in the first place.

Right. 24-40 *with* 2 of those 3 guys.

Not to mention that we're also without some other guys who played very well for us in limited minutes. One big upside to the bubble would have been to see Payton & Mathews get a shot, for example.

Getting Zion was luck, obviously. But, David Griffin is clearly a *very* talented basketball executive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Griffin_(basketball)

He clearly scorched the Hawks in their big draft-day trade last year. Nor was the Anthony Davis trade a lucky "lottery" win. Given that Davis had firmly stated he was leaving, I'd say getting Ball, Ingram, Hart & 3 R1 picks for him was quite an accomplishment!

But, it's a miinor matter.... Let's not waste cycles on it.
