Maybe they refuse to expose him more to save his value for a trade. I mean , you play him 20 min and he keeps being usless than what?

Fultz
Evan
MPJ
AG
Vuc

That's a solid line-up.

Draft position really screwed us.. but imagine if WeltHam traded down with LAC and took SGA AND MPJ :o

However that would take creativity and balls, which they haven’t displayed throughout their tenure.

Where is this Mo bamba? His energy level was way different in college man....i'm not talking about the skills and the other stuff....i'm talking where is this energy at? Also just an observation watching this....Texas ran a lot of 1/5 pick and roll actions that got Bamba like right at the rim for a lob or at least an attempt at a putback/dunk......why do we only use bamba in pick and pop actions?

We just don't have many plays in general.

Off the top of my head:

Fournier/Vuc pick/pops
Gordon to Ross backdoor play
Ross running off screens

I'm actually struggling to think of many more. The rest are just pick and roll plays at the top of the key...

You forgot DJ dribbling the ball in circles of varying size for 20 seconds then passing behind the back to Vuc for 3.

Many of us were advocating for the orl - lac trade to pick both.

My favorite! Bonus points when Vuc has to bend down to get it.

Nobody but Vuc is even allowed inside the paint. I've been saying for years that if AG was turned loose on the offensive glass, he'd up our possession +/- and feast on put back dunks. Same for Bamba now. He's uniquely built by the Bball gods to reach over everyone and tip or put it back. He's not going to have a post game of substance, or dribble drive...he's basically Kyle Korver on the offensive end. My assumption is that in Cliff's conservative D, they concede the offensive glass to get back on D...great plan, unless you've got our roster, IMO.

BTW, that Covid story concerns me...despite all the guys testing positive and saying "see you in 14 days", there are very real lingering lung issues for many. Particularly, for a professional athlete, I would imagine. Hopefully not, could just be temporary but... :o

Next year, they better let him play
