They’re not but Bamba isn’t even showing flashes. If your HC doesn’t trust you even up 30 your career probably isn’t heading in the right direction. Seems like every night there’s another 1st year or 2nd year playing going off and then there’s Bamba lol

Bamba has absolutely shown flashes that he can be an absolute game changer defensively and a reliable 3pt shooter. His potential is immense

I was shocked to see that now we have to win tonight to stay ahead. Did Milwaukee just not give a ****? Nets are lavert Allen and a bunch of leaguers. I guess good news is Washington looks awful so no reason to be in a play in.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Pretty much. Rode their young guys in the fourth and didn’t play Giannis even though it was a 2 point game at the end.

I corrected you post.

Morant and Young will both be horrible NBA defenders over their careers. Both players look like the second coning of Harden. That will get them a lot of coin, but that style of play is what Portland tried to build around.

I am not sold that Morant and Young are A1 players to build a team around. What I think the NBA will evolve towards is where a scorer is balanced to an even better two-way player.

In that: Orlando has Ross as an example. If Ross was starting next to, say Kawhi Leonard, could Ross average 30 ppg on a championship team? YES.

And thus back to Morant and Young: they are fools gold to me.

If I was an NBA manager, I would build around Gilgeous-Alexander long before Morant and Young, and I really mean that !

The Bucks is up 5 in the standings to be the overall #1 Eastern seed. Their team is not trying to win games.

This is true for the NBA Finals, but it is not true in the conference playoffs. If Milwaukee is a 1 seed vs a 2 seed, it effects the brackets of play themselves.

In particular it would be probable for the 2 to eventually play the 3 and the 1 to play the 4. That can be a huge difference ! This year it looks to be the difference of playing the Celts as the 3 or the Heat/Pacers as the 4.

The Milwaukee want no part of an Eastern semi-Final against Boston. But the team is up 5 in the standings and can coast now.

So Cliff is just being an ignorant hardass. Why not give Bamba 10 minutes a night to develop in these so called “important games for our youth”

We’re without JI now AG for rest of the year. There’s literally nothing to play for except youth yet we refuse to let it flow.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Clifford is trying to win games....he's not in developmental mode, which explains why we don't feature the young guys more....even the players that do get minutes(Fultz/JI) are they really involved in the offense where they don't have to create on their own? Vuc/Fournier/Ross are players that get set plays for them to get a shot by design, when was the last time you've seen a consistent effort to get Fultz/JI involved in an action where they are the first option? when was the last time you seen any shot in the half-court where they only end up getting a touch because the play broke down and they're the last option? or Fultz just says "damn the play" and just attacks?

Hell even AG has somewhat been limited by the offense in the past, which imo would explain why he sometimes tend to go "rogue" and take ill-advised shots....Clifford is NOT trying to develop anybody or if he is all the development is being done in practice...The problem is though, we're not really winning games and we're not developing so....what is really getting done around here?

The fact that our FO have shown that they are willing to wait on great players with injury history (isaac, chuma, fultz), so why not take a shot on a guy with All-NBA level talent?

Many here were hyping MPj and were hoping he was the guy, just sucks to see denver hitting HR after HR (jokic late, murray, beasley before he was traded, MPj, Bol, Morris) in their drafts while we're just waiting for ONE guy to take over for us.

So 3 plays in garbage time...and one of those was a knock (and a HUGE knock against him, lazy), so 2 good plays vs 1 bad one in garbage time?

Sorry, but bamba hasnt proven to be worthy of a top 10 pick, and hasnt shown anything to prove hes a future cornerstone of a team.

Man watching this portland game is very interesting when i compare and contrast lol....Apart from Lillard who is unreal and the good roster they have, i'm looking at their offense and man....the actions they are running seems like it's light years beyond what we're doing....the ball movement is crisp, everyone seems to be getting a touch, the bigs are getting lobs, consistent drive and kick game...double pin downs and double screens....down screens....slip screens for easy buckets....it's like we're in grade school and everyone else is in college

i could say it's the roster but just the straight x's and o's are on a different level it seems....................

Luka... He's already the future and the present. What an insanely huge game against Milwaukee and Giannis. And he's just so much fun to watch play, too.

Watching the grizz this season (maybe 6-7 games), i cant help buy pay close attention to Brandon Clarke.
Is it just me or is he pretty much exactly what we're hoping Chuma becomes? SF/PF hybrids, seem to be similar players, similar builds, good defenders\rim protectors. Good at slashing, chuma i think is a better shooter, especially from 3, but overall very similar

This kills me, we were literally 1 pick away from either having trae young, or being in position to get luka :banghead: Just like when we were 1 pick away from Porzingis. So instead of having the mavs combo of KP and luka, we draft 2 busts in mario and mo, both with top 6 picks

but god, that 2018 draft was so good at the top, Ayton, bags, luka, JJ, young, wendell carter, sexton, bridges, SGA, MPj at 14....

I hear ya, but it must kill Phoenix, Sacramento and Atlanta fans a hell of a lot more than us. That they passed up on him was absurd in draft night and even worse in hindsight.
