I want to believe it all as well, I just get the "matter of fact" talk about it all. People talk like they know Steph and Giannis and what they talk about. Wierd way to live your life, beleiving in random rumours with no base and then just talking about them to other people like its a fact.

I don’t know Giannis or Steph but I do know someone who talks to and has a working relationship with multiple NBA players and front office personnel, some of whom are with the Warriors.

I probably wouldn’t believe it either. Totally understandable. I’m pretty fired up though. First thing, need the Bucks to go down because there’s no chance of anything happening if they win.

OK, I will smoke some of that.
Pipe dream.

We keep Steph, Klay, Dray, Lee, Mulder and Bowman

We trade the rest of our team, a heap of cash (not my money). We throw in 5 1st round draft picks. Bucks owner sells the team and never sets foot in Milwaulkee again.

We get back Giannis and Brook Lopez. Trade checker says the trade works.
Then Iguodala trade exception for a small forward. MLE for whatever.
Then we pray for no injuries.

Do it as soon as possibke, before Steph, Klay Dray get older.

Giannis can't force his way to GS unless he's willing and eager to play for 'no hard cap' MLE money. And he isn't. GS had cap space in 2016.

Also, Euro's are less likely to leave as FA's. Once they've established a home base they'd prefer to keep it rather then move somewhere else in a foreign country.

Mil is the heavy favorite to resign him. Toronto and Dallas are the distant backups. GS isn't relevant.

The only way he could come here is in a trade, not as a free agent.

Except the Warriors have no leverage and Mil has no interest in a trade.

In the AD case, he could say "trade me to the Lakers or I sign there as a FA in a year". Giannis can't credibly say "trade me to GS or I sign there as a FA in a year". That's why GS isn't relevant.

Not that I think there's a snowballs chance in hell of him playing in GS but he doesn't necessarily have to threaten to sign with GS... I'm sure big picture they'd rather him play here than Detroit or whatever EC team that can arrange the cap space.

I agree, there's almost no chance of him coming here, but the argument is that he would tell Milwaukee that he wants to be traded to GS, and tells all other teams that he won't re-sign if they trade for him.

Edit: My original point was that cap space is not a factor.

My question is..If Antetokounmpo does sign with GSW , will anybody here learn to how spell his name?

If I’m Antetokounmpo , I want to go play with Luka Doncic for the next decade +..Together they’d have a chance at an epic dynasty.

BTW..I cheated and copy/pasted Antetokounmpo haha

If he came to GSW, they could put Giannis or Freak on his jersey.

He could say trade me to GSW or I sign with Miami next summer. And Miami definitely doesn’t want him in the East. Giannis has all the leverage and control and will go where he wants.

I’m not saying this is some kind of lock. Not even close. What I am saying is that Giannis told Steph that he wants to play with him in the Bay and the Warriors will pursue that until it’s dead. If he doesn’t sign the super max then it’s go time.

I am not Shamrock, whatever that means. I’m assuming he’s an old poster here. I don’t remember that name though.

GS isn't a likely landing zone I agree, but "no leverage" dismisses the city, the new arena, the ownership, the coach, and the teammates.
