Just imagine how dire the situation would be if the front office hadn't rolled the dice on Fultz. He is still a giant question mark, but at least his range of outcomes gives us hope about the future. Our only players that would bring us back anything positive at the moment are JI, AG, maybe Fultz, and maybe Bamba. The veterans are on fair contracts, but they are neutral, not bringing anything back by themselves. If fournier opts in maybe a late first/second.
It's time for the front office to roll the dice again and bet on themselves. They are responsible for trading for Fultz, drafting JI, Bamba, and Chuma. Take a real shot at next year's loaded draft. Most teams are playing for something at the moment. It would be pretty easy, i don't see any tankers in the west, and Detroit(Griffin coming back, they cant trade him), Cleveland, Charlotte, and NY in the East, I am not 100% any of them will straight up tank. Of course the new lottery odds make tanking much less of a certanity, We could end up being the 5th worst team and have a decent shot at the first (or top 3) pick.
