Surprised you have Cole Slaw that high

 I would take a shot at him late in the lottery. He’s still pretty talented despite how flawed he is

He's a tough one to get a read on because i think if he actually had at least one or two good players on that starting unit with him then we could of seen a whole different Cole Anthony on the court. The kid definitely has skills and isn't really bad at anything, even his shooting and defense wasn't bad at times, but because of how bad the rest of the team was the question out there is did he try to take on too much of being that guy with everything and in doing that hurt himself as in how he's looked at as a NBA prospect or is what we saw the real Cole Anthony? It's another question that won't be answered until we see what he does in the NBA.

I like the kid especially anywhere around 8 thru 12 or so. IMO he's worth the shot around those spots but another lottery miss by the Knicks this year would be absolutely brutal for us. This is why i start looking at the guys like Deni, Vassell, Haliburton, Okoro, because i see each of them and some others having a spot in the NBA and even if not star players i still don't see busts in any of them if we're picking at 6 or under.

I like Okoro as well but don't you think the Knicks need shooting as well as defense? Okoro isn't even close to as good a shooter as Vassell.

Vassell would be a better fit with this roster sure, but this whole team is booty and probably needs to be turned over, so the fit isn’t that important to me and I think Okoro has more potential, and I think there’s a better chance of him developing a serviceable shot. His form isn’t even that bad. That’s the only thing that’s missing from his game

Well we don't agree on which of the two we would take 1st with me on the Vassell train and you on the Okoro train but we agree that we like both. I wouldn't be mad at Okoro cause i like him but i just really do like Vassell more.

Most of the highlights I’ve watched his off the dribble game consists of attacking close outs. There’s not a lot of wiggle in his handle, it’s mostly straight line drives. That just screams 3&D to me, at least off the bat. Since he’s got a nice pull up game, I wouldn’t be shocked to see him develop into something more. It’s why I really like the Middleton comp. I don’t really see jump out the gym athleticism either. He’s an NBA athlete for sure but he doesn’t get to the rim a lot in the half court. I like him but don’t love him, I certainly wouldn’t complain if we drafted him at 8 but at 6? I think there would be someone better there.

Im with you. In the 8-10 range why not

At the 8-10 range i'm a easy yes on Vassell but even at 6-7 i wouldn't be mad at it, but of course it depends on who's still on the board. Like many of us have come around on Deni so if Deni and Vassell are sitting there am i going with Vassell and his great shooting and defense and i think that there's even more then just 3-D to his game or am i going with Deni who got the BBIQ, which i love with any player, and he's really got a good all around game with his shooting which we can clearly see he's worked on and has gotten better and the guy could be a legit point forward with his vision/passing and ability to run the offense.

Tough choice but i'm probably taking my chances with Deni.

Really just depends on who's on the board but i'm a big Vassell fan and have been for a while now.

That's an easy decision for me, I draft Deni and don't think twice about it. Always go with the guy that can create off the dribble.

Yeah it's probably a little easier then i made it sound for me as well that i'd go with Deni or Devin. I would just love to have Devin's shooting, defense and length at SF.

Pelicans are gonna get a top 4 pick, aren't they?

NBA will want to get more attention for Zion and the Pelicans

After the lottery selects the teams that receive a top four pick, the other teams receive an NBA draft pick based on their winning percentage from the prior season. ... However, those six teams cannot have a higher pick than those eight teams who missed the resumed season. The new lottery will take place in United Center.

Does that mean the Knicks are guaranteed a top 5 pick?

David Griffin should realize that whatever he is using to have gotten all those number 1 picks the last decade can have some karmic implications.

pretty sure they're tied, and 26 goes to the winner of a ping pong ball drawing (where the odds are 50-50)

I think 26 is realistic w/ the Celtics playing Memphis and Washington and the Clippers playing Denver and OKC

25 is possible too but a long shot because Denver plays Clippers, Lakers, Raptors

I just want to know if the above applies to the the 2nd round as well because as it stands our second round pick got pushed back from 38 to 39 because the wizards crapped the bed

I think it was Melo but he compared Vassell to Middleton and every time I watch him that’s all I see too.

That's all you see? This kid can jump out the gym and defensively he's already on an elite in college.

Imagine what Thibs will do with Devin?

After seeing what thibs can do with smaller guards(Nate Robinson,dj Agustin etc) I’m warming up to the idea of taking Cole Anthony if we stay in th 6th-8 range.
