Not great, Blazers play Mavs after sixers. If Blazers win tonight we going to be relying on Griz to lose.

The Mavs are also on a back to back that night. So annoying. 1, why are there any back to backs? 2, why does Portland keep getting to play the tired team?

The grizzlies' last game scares me. The bucks will likely rest their core players and it's hard to pin our play-in hopes on the grizzlies losing a critical game against a bunch of end of bench guys.

Portland losing tonight would be huge.

Agree. We can't rely on the very last game. On the flip side, the Mavs might also take it easy on us for the same reason, making 8-0 more likely. If we can just control our own destiny...

Same. They really should have put a rule in place that said you're not eligible to be eliminated until you lose. Add another play-in between 9th and the undefeated team and then have winner play 8th place. But don't send an undefeated team home. No sports fan thinks that makes sense.

And if it were a full 82 game season this wouldn't be an issue, so special rules are only fair.

The simple way to break it down at this stage (with 3 games remaining):

If the Suns go 3-0, we need Portland to lose one of their last 3 games to surpass them. OR, we need Memphis to lose out. If BOTH lose out, the Suns clinch the 8th seed I believe.

If the Suns go 2-1, we need Portland to lose 2 of their last 3 games. In this scenario, we can no longer pass Memphis.


If Memphis wins one more game, they are assured at least a play-in game. I think one win would assure them the 8th seed actually but could be wrong.
If Portland wins their last 3 games, the Suns can't pass them.

So at this point we still need help.
If Portland loses to Philly tonight, the Suns control their own destiny to the 9th seed.

That's extremely disappointing to hear KP and Luka won't play against the Blazers. Talk about a gut punch. Basically means we will have to rely on Memphis losing out. They have Boston and Milwaukee left but there's no way Giannis plays their last game IMO.

Embiid out for the game. So, Philly has to beat Portland without Embiid and Simmons.
Supposedly Dallas would have to beat Portland without Luka and KP.

76ers lead by 1 with one more quarter remaining. Philly doing great job containing Trent Jr as he has just 5 points. And Blazers shooting poorly from the three 5-22. Come on one more good quarter will be very helpful.
