Or... just get the next Doncic. He was projected to be the next big thing, but is in the process of exceeding those expectations.

Yeah... that Atlanta trade is looking stupider & stupider!
In fairness, Trae Young has turned out a terrific young player, but... nowhere near Doncic!

Stupid move by Giannis, but even I'm tired of Wagner's antics trying to draw charges.
And honestly, Wagner's becoming a useless player. His defense has deteriorated, and his 3 point shot accuracy seems to be gone. He does have some offensive skills, but 6.5 fouls per 36 minutes shows the officials are no longer buying his act, and he's not stopping anyone.

I didn't even realize they played - though it looks like the Celtics starting lineup didn't. I'm surprised Robert Williams got so little play in a game like that.

OMG -- are you intimating that we won...? Wait, I have to go look!
We did -- powered by a nice game from Bryant.

The Nets did. And they even had a tie game there for a bit at the very start so I can only assume they were competitive.AFM wrote:Did we make the playoffs?

Gary Clark. He played and (I'm assuming, because I didn't see the game) apparently, played well.
I remember coming accross his stats a long time ago. Sometimes, the numbers tell the story for sure:

This guy does have a little Paul Millsap in him. He's really good defensively. He's a very good rebounder. Does the little things well.
(I'm also looking at Bryson Scott, Mike Watkins, Isaiah Wilkins and a lot of other players. So far, I'd rate Clark as a fit for what the Wizards need most. TOUGHNESS. FINISHER AROUND THE HOOP. DEFENDER. PLUS GUY).
Bye bye Beal.

James Ennis III also played. I mean, these guys are legit NBA players but they're not supposed to control the game start to finish against the team with the best record in the NBA. I'm curious to see how Bud responds. He's not known for his ability to adjust on the fly.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 4
Should we be looking at signing Nerlens Noel this off-season? I know he fouls too much but his numbers are pretty impressive and his advanced metrics are superb. We need a defensive-minded center who doesn’t need the ball to be effective, but who will also work well off pick and roll-situations and lobs from Wall. He seems to fit the bill.

Definitely!
He's a Khem Birch, no brainer add at the right price for all the reasons you listed, m31t.
Bye bye Beal.

DJ Augustine had 11 points, 11 assists. That with Vucevic beasting allows the other transition or pick-and-pop scorers to prosper. The guards who handle control the game but it's the spot up shooting efficiency, along with rebounding and switching on defense that's winning these games.
Bye bye Beal.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 4
I'd say they're winning because the Bucks defense still isn't where it needs to be and they rely on Giannis to do most everything for them. Giannis looks fine to me. Middleton is streaky as always. The rest of that team looks kinda old. The Bucks have some challenges to overcome if they want ro make the finals.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 4
Philly's getting destroyed by Boston. They are dramatically worse at both ends of the court without Ben Simmons. They have to work so hard for every shot, while Boston seems to expend so little effort to get easy shots. Embiid basically has to run everything, and you could see he was exhausted in the 1st half by that. They needed Harris to step up, and he's been awful. Tatum's killing them - even Thybulle couldn't handle him. You need a bigger guy... like Simmons to contain Tatum. This series will be a sweep. Boston doesn't need Hayward anywhere near as much as Philly needs Simmons.
