Mavs winning was actually good for us. If they had lost, Luka would've definitely sat against Portland who we need to lose. 8-0 gets us nothing unless Portland drops one or griz drop two

yes, in terms of controlling our destiny I guess. but we will most likely have to beat full strength Mavs again.

Regardless of what transpires over the next few days, this team has greatly benefitted from the experience. We can at least walk away minus one Shank and plus one Payne.....Plus a taste of meaningful games.

6 game streak really the longest in book’s career here....? What a drought for us all.

The last time we had any sort of winning streak was in 13-,14 season we finished 48-34 and had two streaks. One was 5 games while the other 6 near the end of the season.

Controlling our own destiny is all we can ask for really. It's much more likely we get in by the blazers losing to Dallas and us beating a full strength Mavs than hoping blazers lose to the Nets. Also we already beat the mavs in the bubble

Hearing Al McCoy say (re: Booker), "He is a great player. Not just a good player. He's a great player and the whole world will find out some day". He's seen them all it feels like he isn't the type to just throw that out there. Exciting times!

Gambo said that he has heard from the Celtics that they will not rest players tomorrow against the Grizzlies. They want to play well and rest probably their best players just against the Wizards.

Hopefully it's true.

Dallas going all out these next 2 games could actually work out in our favor if they beat Portland.

Would be nice if NBA made different set of rules for play in games. If 9th seeds is 3-4 games out meaning the 9th seed must win two games. But if the 9th is 0.5 to 1.5 games back play best out of three.

Yes we need Dallas to go all out. If the Suns have to miss, I want it to be because they lost a game, not because other teams didn't lose enough. Mavs beat Portland and I'm at peace with the bubble either way.

Mavs kryptonite is the Clippers. They'll do anything not to play them first round. They'll go hard against Portland.

Sucky thing is the timing of our last game with them. The Jazz play the Spurs AFTER we play the Mavs. If the Jazz win, the Mavs are locked into the 7th seed, but they won't know that until our game with them is over.

If nuggets win tonight and against the clippers on Wednesday, they're the 2 seed.

So, the hope is that nuggets win tonight, Mavs best the blazers in hope of the 6th seed, the nuggets beat the clippers on Wednesday, and then the Mavs purposefully lose against the Suns to keep the 7th seed to play the nuggets instead of trying to win and move to the 6th seed having to face the 3rd seed clippers.

Imagine if everything else works out in terms of other teams losing but we can’t beat the Mavs because Luka goes off. The heartbreak would be too much for Suns fans everywhere.

Dang. Nuggets' backups almost beat the Lakers. They've now failed to help us twice by sitting their starters. That team is DEEP though.

But now it looks like if the Mavs beat the Blazers, they will have a ton of motivation to beat the Suns in their last game to get that 6th seed to play the Nuggets instead of the Clippers

One thing I noticed in the Mavs box score was that it listed Doncic out with an ankle injury, and KP out with an injury as well. If they have lingering injuries, I doubt they'd risk worsening them in hopes of better positioning over getting completely healthy. Though I don't know if it is just something really minor and just precautionary or what.

It's kind of crappy how scheduling works out for Thursday. We play Mavs before the Jazz play the Spurs. If only the Jazz game gets done before our game there might have been a way for them to lock up 6 seed and give the Mavs less of a reason to bother beating us, but Dallas will indeed have a reason that game.

If the Mavs indeed beat the blazers, but then the Nuggets beat the Clipps, then doesn't that mean Denver jumps into the 2 seed? Meaning Dallas may want to stay 7 To avoid the Clippers in a 3 v 6 matchup by tanking the game against us?
