He really can't pull up off the dribble with it because he needs too much space to get it off. A wide-open set shot 3 pointer is the only thing in his arsenal from that range at this stage.
He has to improve that in the off-season, until he does that he's easier to guard than he should be

I wonder if the prognosis is that he actually can get the strength back to 100%. We haven't really heard anything about that lately. Obviously the 4 month COVID hiatus probably wasn't the most optimal time for him to get his strength back but it's most likely longer than the break between this season and next (if there is a next season). So I don't have high hopes for seeing much improvement next season yet unless there's a typical 6 month break.

You gotta think the extension last summer suggests that WeHam were told he could get his strength back 100%.

So you admit that Magic actually preform worst ( 38% to 40% ) but still elect to cherry pick by "cutting" stats that don't fit your agenda? :D

Don't worry, tho super Pepe is here to debunk nonsense and false and currupted data from filters and lazy sites you pulled your numbers from.

So let's start with this year.
2019-20:
Lakers without best player ( W)
Memphis without second best player (W)
Minessota without best player ( W)

Houston W
Boston - L

So just quick observation. Magic faced grand total of 1 taem in full strenght that they beat. What a record!

Let's go to 2018-19
Dallas- L , not just L, 25 points blowout without Evan . How pathetic? Well 75 points scored level pathetic.
( Magic beat Dallas in that epic game with Evan, where they lost Luka Doncic in process in hindsight)

And 2017-18 is where all the nonsene is crumbling. Your data is indeed currupted, false and/or fabricated with false numbers

This is actual W-L (GAME LOG) https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/fournev01/gamelog/2018 link here data about Evan. Magic win percentage without Evan in 2017- 18 is actually 20%
In other words, your numbers are indeed- false.

So Magic over last 3 years have 9 wins and 22 losses without Evan. (29% win percentage)
Magic with Evan have 20-37/ 41-40/ and 28-38--- total of 89-115 43,6% win percentage

Case closed.

Alright, I figured out where I screwed up my numbers, I copied the 2016-17 Magic record of 29-53 (instead of 25-57) into the 2017-18 cells by mistake in my spreadsheet.

The difference of 4 wins vs losses was big enough to swing it given the small sample size of missed games if we are choosing for whatever reason to look exclusively at the last 3 years.

So yeah, rather than hide from it, I can admit I made a mistake with my numbers.

I could argue against other points in your post about how you cherrypicked your arbitrary line of last 3 years to paint Evan in the best light, talk about how you love to discount some wins/losses when it serves you, but ignore plenty of examples of the opposite, or mention that in 2017-18 he wasn't taking shots/mins away from anyone servicable (Mario Hezonja?) like he is now, but Bensational, Xatticus and basketballRob made those points, so I will just take the L here because;
1) I screwed up my numbers, so any arguments I make on this topic now you can just point to that and
2) I don't actually hate Evan, and I have said in other posts in the right role he would be a great asset, he's just played terrible in the bubble which was what my original post was about.

Meh, man, it's really not worth getting heated over, from start i knew i saw 28% win percentage somwhere, because i was doing some research about that topic months ago. It turned out it was 28% win rate from last 3 years ( but i simply could not remember context).
I thought you pulled stats from some site :dontknow: that's why i was extra harsh, because i know some pages simply don't provide truthful or updated stats sometimes. Sorry if i crossed line

I don't actually "love" Evan  but he provides much needed spacing and scoring. I'm fine with replacing him with better scorer.

All good pepe, I'm not heated, tone doesn't come across well on the old message boards... I am dirty at myself for making a mistake with the numbers, but yeah, aside from that, happy to go back and forth with passionate Magic fans on the board here and as always, I often have to revisit my own ideology.

Trying not to be married to my ideas is a good goal in life, and butting heads over here is good practice.
