great win and Dame was great...again

Blazers still need to beat Brooklyn. If they lose and two of Memphis, Phoenix, Spurs win, Portland is out of the playoffs

and Zach was benched to start 2nd half. Wouldn't happen to a legitimate starter.

Lillard is literally Jordan just a bit smaller. Congrats on making the 8th seed and having a chance of killing the Lakers. Good luck. :(

The free throw parade was annoying in the 4th quarter, but what a fun game otherwise!

OKay so CJ has a back fracture.

I take back my complaints and hope he gets the treatment he needs.

Yeah hopefully it's not something that can be made worse. It says he's played 3 games with it, so if true, he at least did pretty well in the LAC game.

This is huge news. Blazers aren’t going anywhere without good games from CJ. They aren’t there yet, but how many years has it been since a healthy Blazer team was in the POs?

He’s apparently played 3 games with it and they’ve gotten progressively worse.

Wow, I am blown away he is even out there. I also have no clue why the Blazers didn't mention this at all until tonight.

CJ needs to sit. On a personal level, and a long term career level, why mess with a fractured back?

From a team standpoint, I don't think we'd miss him at all. His defense is terrible, and we won't miss his offense. Start Trent at SG.

I think if there's even a small chance of any damage to CJ's health short or longterm we should sit him, yes.

You don't mess with the back like Sinobas said.

I want CJ to be able to have a healthy life. Back pain, back issues can be debilitating and so incredibly painful.

:o That CJ news is crushing. Back fracture? How many humans can go out and play an NBA game ...let alone with a fractured back. I have been advocating a CJ trade for months... but to hear Dame talk about them crying together and see him fighting through that kind of pain... much respect. :o

Before that CJ news it too crippling, I’m confident in Simmons/Trent jr & light spot mins for Hezonja is more than ample to reliably let CJ get much needed rest. CJ is a positive, but this team looks deeper by the day.

I had a very similar injury in my mid-30's. Fell of a roof and landed on my back. Non-displaced fracture of a vertebrae, although it was a small crack on the x-ray

no swelling, but it was painful at times, especially later in the day. I kept working but I sure wasn't moving normal speed. Would think it would create issues on a BB court

Is it time to have the convo that Dame is the best Blazer of All Time? From a purely talent standpoint, I think that's getting harder and harder to argue against.

I was there last year and felt he had eclipsed Clyde, there is no doubt in my mind now he has gone to an even higher level and his game only continues to grow. The only thing keeping him from being a easy MVP winner in my mind is his slightly average to below average defense, every other aspect of the game he is very close to if not clearly elite at.

Clydes only big achievement he has over Lillard at this point is his NBA Finals appearances as a Blazer, but I feel that Clyde had far more talented teams I bet if Lillard was put in that situation, and they replaced him for Clyde we would have seen at least one championship.
