Re: NBA is Officially Back (Official Thread)
it has been fun watching that Suns "rise" but it would end up us a clean sweep vs LeBron..I would much rather see Lakers vs Blazers and see how they manage that Lillard situation (Dame-Time only works well in the first round..not so much beyond that)

Good thing the league and the refs want that match up too.
My challenge to the Vaccine truthers, make a prediction and sig it.
Mine: In 2023, rates of heart attacks & strokes amongst vaccinated people, never infected with COVID will be similar (+-5%) when compared to people of same age in 2018.

Re: NBA is Officially Back (Official Thread)
Love how the seedings have turned out for both conferences.
Celtics could have some fits against the Sixers.
Lakers might have some competition against Lillard (most likely 8th seed)
My favourite Western Conf team Denver should advance without having to play the Mavs.
Clippers vs. Mavs should be fun to watch
2nd round will be a barn burner for both conferences if everything goes according to plan:
Bucks vs. Heat
Raptors vs. Celtics
Lakers vs. Rockets
Clippers vs. Nuggets

Re: NBA is Officially Back (Official Thread)
So what happens if the Blazers, Grizz, Suns & Spurs all win their last games? Even though Grizz, Suns & Spurs would all be a half game behind Spurs would be out based on win percentage by one percent. I feel like it's harsh to punish the Spurs for having played two less games. They could argue that they could win both of those games to have a better record than both teams. What's the NBA's protocol for this situation in the bubble? They should let all of em compete in a play in tourney lol

If that headbutt was any player other then a Superstar that would be the season. I can hardly watch it without cringing... If it happened at a bar good chance he'd be in jail for assault.
I mean really there is no place for that, moreso as he intent was there to serious harm Wagner, Will be interesting to see how the league slimes their way out

Wizards really giving the Bucks problems?
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Looks like wagner flopped a bit on that headbutt LOL. Unless he's that fragile. Hard to say.

LOL that was not a headbutt.
Clearly it was a headbutt. Not like Zidane, but still should be treated like a punch. Probably more harshly as an opponent would not be able to see it coming. I would say he deserves at

Giannis should get 2 games.

The were walking towards each other. Have you been headbutted before?

If all four teams win then Blazers are 8th and Grizzlies are 9th. Here's all the possible scenarios (lifted off r/nba post):

it’s not that serious man. We’ve seen ibaka borderline choke guys and only get a couple games.refshateRaps wrote:If that headbutt was any player other then a Superstar that would be the season. Any blow to someones head is no joke. But I agree the league historically weak and likely wont do much to a Superstar.
My guess is 2 games. He'll miss game 1 in the first round, thats all

Historically headbutts have only gotten 1 game, but the last one was in 2015. I hope they make it 2 games to be equivalent to the 2 games for "fighting".
