Jayson Tatum (23.4 ppg), Jaylen Brown (20.3 ppg), and Kemba Walker (20.4 ppg) became just the 2nd trio in Celtics history to each average 20+ points per game in a single season. Bailey Howell, John Havlicek, and Sam Jones did it back in 1966-67.

Something totally random and unexpected -- Daniel Theis is second on the team in win shares this season behind Jayson Tatum.

Howell, Havlicek and Jones are all in the HoF. :)

This is pretty crazy. Not sure you can take that much from it but still impressive

Forgot which podcast I heard it on -- they initially had the fake noise only for the TV audience but it was so freaking quiet in the arenas that they decided to add in-game music and whatever noise/sound effects in the arenas too, but not as loud.

Thanks. I thought I had heard something about it being quiet in the arenas.

Advanced stats should be taken with a grain of salt, especially plus/minus, but this pretty much matches the eye test. I'm surprised Kanter's is so high. Grant 2nd on the team isn't all that shocking honestly - his box score stats are terrible but he does a ton that doesn't ever show up in the box score

It's easy to say that Jaylen and Semi might have their on/off (raw or otherwise) numbers depressed by subbing for Tatum. But Kemba, Wanamaker and Smart combine for negative on/off, which seems a bit odd since taken together they are pretty much all our PGs. Do they just not do well playing together?

Throw in Jaylen, and to a first approximation all our bigs are aggregating to a very positive on/off and our guards are aggregating to a negative one, with enough consistency that "Wait, these figures need to be multiple by minutes to be meaningful" doesn't really matter. Now, positions are fluid, but this does suggest that bigger lineups are outperforming smaller ones.

This year's team had the best regular season SRS since 2009. Every Celtics team with a better SRS reached the Conference/Division Finals except one -- 2008-09 team (KG injury).

"Tatum has also become a one-man 3-point engine, hitting 41.1% of his unassisted 3s this season. That's the highest conversion rate among 16 players with at least 200 tries."

Lethal shooting this year. I don't think casual fans understand how impressive this season has been from him.

Per WT, Mike Conley's exit to witness the birth of his son is "widely expected" to keep him out of three games.

Anyone have any good stat sites with really esoteric breakdowns?

In particular, I'm looking for something that tracks "take fouls". BBRef used to have this, but doesn't any more for some reason.

Defensive boarding is a priority, but our guys should leak out more when you have a QB...

Marcus Smart was tied for very distant 6th in DPOY voting. Got one 2nd place vote and four 3rd place votes.
