Re: Democratic Primary Thread: The Deuce
The more I think about Harris, the more clever her choice appears to me. Here's a few off the cuff thoughts:
She's a Howard University graduate. That's a powerful network that can give an extra push to get out the black vote.
Based on the first days of rage tweeting from the knuckle draggers, she seems perfect to play the Jackie Robinson role next to Biden. If it was anyone else, that would feel cruel to say so, but Harris is tough as nails and is the perfect person to trigger the Q army and Trump himself. Really, she is going to take a lot of the heat off Biden. Never occurred to me how that would be such a useful campaign dynamic, but now that I see it in action it is pretty obvious.
The Kremlin fcking hates Harris. Biden-Harris is their least favorite possible ticket. This is mostly good, though the Russian bot activity is through the roof now (just a fair warning Wingo, but a lot of those #Strike posts are Russian and Right wing generated, yeah, really; just think it through and you'll see why).
Harris is Trump's ultimate trigger candidate because she's a smart woman of color, three things he hates. And she was the star of the impeachment trials so he absolutely loathes her. Again, part of her choice being good for the campaign itself is she will derange Trump even further (hard to do, but watch and see).
Anyway, the VP choice is off to a good start. The opposition is losing their chit big time.

The dipchits responsible for Trump's campaign messaging are quite the gaffe machine themselves. Between Trump and his handlers, this is going to be one hell of a misogynist, race baiting scrimmage full of fumbles on the first down
The thing is there are plenty of assclowns who would believe the radical left is trying to cancel college football, but if they are only going to preach to the cult then this is going to be a spectacle alright. I'm sure all of those suburbanites cowering in their panic rooms are plenty steamed about antifa messing with their football habit

The Q Conspiracy People are Freaking Insane. Too bad there are now so many of them. Check out this utter madness:
“There’s a lot of anons [QAnon adherents] that believe the white hats tainted the elite’s adrenochrome supply with the coronavirus, and that’s why so many members of the elite are getting the coronavirus,” Crokin said in a YouTube video from March, reported by Right Wing Watch. “Adrenochrome is a drug that the elites love. It comes from children. The drug is extracted from the pituitary gland of tortured children. It’s sold on the black market. It’s the drug of the elites. It is their favorite drug. It is beyond evil. It is demonic. It is so sick. So there is a theory that the white hats tainted the adrenochrome supply with the coronavirus.”
https://www.thedailybeast.com/how-qanon-became-obsessed-with-adrenochrome-an-imaginary-drug-hollywood-is-harvesting-from-kids?ref=home
The whole article is bananas. Some of these looneys are the new Tea Party and are running for office. Here's another quote:
The highest-profile adrenochrome incident took place in 2018, when Google CEO Sundar Pichai was questioned by the House Judiciary Committee about a conspiracy called “Frazzledrip.” (“Heard of Frazzledrip?” reads one comment on The Sisters of Mercy song.) The crackpot theory involved a mythical video, supposedly squirreled away on Anthony Weiner’s laptop, that if leaked, would show Hillary Clinton and her one-time aide Huma Abedin performing a satanic sacrifice in which they slurped a child’s blood while wearing masks carved from the skin of her face.

this was immediate, even to the point where some of our conservative brothers and sisters have noticed and reject.

I think I usually have a good nose for how things will unfold, but I have to admit the reaction to her announcement took me slightly by surprise. But that's with a twist, because I knew the attacks were coming. What surprised me the most was how godawful stupid the memes were. I mean she was the frontrunner all along so the jackals had plenty of time to prep their attacks and this is what they came up with. It's almost like they were caught by surprise and reached for their birther scripts reflexively.
But I give them too much credit. I think that part of the population has been dumbing itself down so much that that is really all they've got. After all, the smarter ones have abandoned the GOP, if not out of principle, then out of survival sense as the GOP and Trump are the siamese Titanic. There won't be that many survivors.

They just aren't funny, generally. Right wing memes are usually corny or racist, instead of actually being subversive. Generally because the creators are so old (hence them being on Facebook)

True, look at the mushrooms who sprout here. They think Trump is a witty man. It is probably too much to expect a subtle grasp of irony from a cult that worships an illiterate clown that wears orange face paint and can't pronounce Yosemite.
Once upon a time, it was a common put-down of leftists that they were too uptight and that Republicans had all the fun (partied, got laid, whatever). But it seems like a flock of Stephen Millers who were hated by everyone in high school are the base now. It must be difficult to develop a sense of humor when you have to spend so much time cataloging your Nazi memorabilia collection.

Case in point, here is the cartoon from a nationally distributed conservative Australian newspaper

It’s a well established fact that Conservative/Republican/Right wing comedy is not funny. There have been numerous attempts at a Daily Show version of the right that have failed. Mostly because right wing humor punches down and there’s an inability to laugh at themselves.

This really is strange. Normally you just congratulate whoever the running mate is and ignore them for the rest of the race barring the week of vp debates. But the right in general is taking the to a whole nother level. Probably making her seem even bigger now that they're this desperate

If she was a nobody they would ignore her. But she scares the sh*t out of them and is their worst nightmare. Their response should tell you everything you need to know.

She's also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, the oldest traditionally-black sorority in existence. That's more than 300,000 active members worldwide (and an untold number of inactive members). Not only are they going to mobilize like crazy for their "soror" but they're going to instruct their husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, etc. to do the same.
