Seeding Game 8: MEM vs MIL

Memphis getting it done!

JV with the triple double.
Ja is close currently, but honestly this hasn't been a great game for him. I think he is exhausted which is why his 3pt shots keep coming up short. Unfortunately he won't have much time to rest and recover as we enter the play in games.
Finally the Dillon from right before his extension showed up.

It's often said, when Dillion scores 20 or more, Memphis win. He goes from shooting his team out of games to being the x factor when he's on his game, 20+pts or not. Truth is, It's a positive to just not have him being a negative with his shot selection. It's beyond clear him playing well has been the difference between winning & losing but begs the question, how much of him playing well, is him offsetting his negative impact when he's chucking vs his game being an x factor?. Would a steady 3&D wing replacement produce wins more consistently or is Brooks aggression, good or bad, effectively taking defensive pressure off of JA & Jonas?.

I'd like to talk about the improvement Anderson has made with his 3pt shot & release. He basically came back from the 3 month break a 3pt threat. Very noticeable improvement in his game ... Credit where it's due. Now Memphis just need Ja to come back next year a "willing" threat from 3 himself to help open his own game.

Come Saturdays play in, win or lose, it will be a valuable experience.

Speaking of Brooks, based on the way he plays, is he best suited as a starter or off the bench?
