Re: Boylen fired!!
Usually I’m not a morning person but I wake up early morning to check something real quick on twitter and when I saw the news first I thought I was dreaming so I went back to bed to go back to sleep with joy when I wake up look the headlines repeatedly like I was getting busy.
Lol

Re: Boylen fired!!
To me, this decision was just a matter of when, and Karnisovas was just waiting for the right time to announce it.
I'm not all that excited that this move was made, because it was inevitable. If anything, I'm just relieved that it happened sooner rather than later, so the next step in finding the Bulls head coach can begin.
More changes are coming, not only regarding the coaching, but also the players. I think Karnisovas is going to make some surprising roster moves this off season as well.
It's going to be a fun few months.

Cowley, Windhorst, and Woj were all wrong about predicting how Chicago would handle coaching. They all had no legitimate insider source, so they just went with the "well chicago is cheap, if I write they'll keep Boylen I'll probably end up looking smart."
Everyone should take any Chicago FO rumors with a grain of salt.
Cowley maybe has two sources, Jimmy Butler and Thibs, and they are long gone. However, they still have axes to grind, which fits in perfectly with Cowley's Jay Mariotti like obsession with hating on the Reinsdorfs. Or maybe its not Cowley/Mariotti's hate but a tactic used by the sports editors at the Sun Times who have decided that they can distinguish themselves from the Trib by constantly bashing the Reinsdorfs thereby making their sports page somehow relevant.

He still has what? A $2 million severance package coming his way?
He's set for life even if he never works again
Yeah, I don't expect him to be homeless.
He reached the pinnacle of his career and it didn't work out in his favor, and got fired. That still sucks even if you have money. Circumstances are all relative.

Good for Arti!
There’s no way I’d have Boylan apart of my WL record as a GM. He had to go, the swamp needed to be drained

This may or may not be the right time for this and it might come off as tooting my horn. But this is example # 1,001 with regards to why you don’t buy into what Cowley has to say when it comes to front office reporting. He’s just not plugged at that level. If it’s players and sometimes even coaches, he can be pretty spot on. But above the coaching level, his reporting is purely speculative.

I hate to see anyone losing their jobs right now, but Boylen got paid millions. So I don't care. It's time to move on. Bye Bye Boylen.

Re: Boylen fired!!
I wish Jim the best of luck, and hope he can sign on with another team to continue his career. I don't think this was his fault, but at the same time a brand new start is what this organization needed to keep fan interest at this point in time. Its too bad that he took this opportunity with us at the wrong time. I don't think any coach would have been successful in this period.
If I ever see him out at a bar, I will buy him a beer.

Cowley credibility taking a hit for sure lol. I fell for it. As well as just needing some cathartic venting on how disappointing the Reinsdorf ownership has been. But Cowley clearly plays to that sentiment in a shameless way.
Lets find that somebody who has the presence as a leader of high performing men. Someone who doesn't have to be gimmicky to exert their status. Who's the David Ross of NBA coaching candidates?

Idk why y'all are bashing cowley when all 3 of the beat reporters were reporting the same thing (cowley, KC, mayberry)

He was reporting or stating not that long ago the Bulls going to keep Boylen and especially reports for financial reasons. That is why he is getting bash and rightfully so.
While KC report similar but Cowley have been trolling Bulls fans on twitter or his article maybe both from the last few weeks regarding Boylen remaining as Bulls head coach

They all had speculative articles stating that Boylen might be retained due to financial reasons within a few days of each other. I don't think cowley was affirmative in that.

Re: Boylen fired!!
Honest question. How long before bulls fans want the next coach and FO fired? I just want to discuss ball without a wall of posts/tweets asking for someone to get fired...its all on the players now, no more excuses.
