Could this change make Bogdanovic or Bjelica more easily attainable? I mean with Vlade no longer in charge of course? :dontknow:

I was thinking about that second scrimmage in the bubble. If you recall, Dario was the starting power forward in the first two scrimmages until he rolled his ankle. Cam Johnson steps in as the starter for the third scrimmage and then Monty keeps him there for the rest of the bubble. We got to see both Johnson and Saric blossom in their roles on the team because of a simple ankle sprain. Kudos to Monty for sticking with the rookie and to Saric for not pouting.

Yes, it could. Or, it couldn't? What makes you think anyone knows what Dumars is thinking? All we know is he works really hard.

Kings fans reading the Vlade is gone, but Dumars is in charge now. Sounds like Luke will still be around, and they may not have a new GM before the draft.

Just offering random speculation, To guage opinions is all. But I'd be intrigued as Vlade was suggested to be the biggest advocate/ promoter for Serbian players. So with him stepping down, And a new GM taking over, It's within reason, Given their potential cap complications with Hields, Fox's and soon Bagleys' extensions that one of either Hield or Bogdanovic may be moved? So figured I'd make the query?

I’ve seen AD and Monty Williams like each other’s posts on IG. We have to fix that relationship with Klutch Sports first. James Jones can do it.

Do we keep Oubre as an expiring to give us cap space next off season then?

Personally after seeing LeVert play out yesterday, I'd have no issue flicking Oubre for him. Perfect 6th man to cover PG-SG-SF backup minutes or spot start. Locked in at Oubre money for 3 more years.

Payne, Carter handle what's left depending on matchups.

Rubio, Payne/ Carter
Booker, LeVert/ Carter
Bridges, LeVert
Johnson, Saric
Ayton, Baynes

Lecque, Jerome, 10 as deep bench.

Dealing with a Klutch sports free agent isn't a big deal if it's an obvious max player.

I'd be surprised if we could get LeVert for him. I don't know if we are trying to get max cap space next summer. It will depend on the deals we give Saric, Baynes and Carter..if we give them deals at all but especially past one year. If we are planing on just doing 1 year deals it is probably more likely we are open to just letting Oubre expire to open up max cap space.

If I had to guess though, I'd bet they don't want to gamble on hoping for a pipe dream free agent signing next summer if they like Saric and Oubre (or like what they can get in trade from Oubre)...

However, next summer will pretty much be their last chance to add a major piece to the team outside of the draft, trades or exceptions.

What about to the Suns for Oubre?

They get more years on control with Bogi?"

The bubble record should definitely change the Suns off-season plans.

They were competing for a playoff spot and missed out by technicality... They have the same wins as those vying for that spot.

Keep the chemistry as is... Add a big man who can spot up 3s and slide as center.... Off the bench... Or starter.

Bridges and Johnson is a good combo wing rotation with Ayton, Booker and Rubio.

Do not change the main starting lineup. Improve on the bench... Payne, Carter and Saric are great together... Just need a big man to support them... But also start against big front courts like Lakers.

Basically ypgrade Kaminsky with someone who can defend and rebound... Baynes is too old nowm

PG -- Van Vleet, Rubio (Yes, Van Vleet is better than Rubio at this point in their careers)

I think VanVleet is great, but seeing what Rubio has done for us this season, i think that's a little disrespectful. Rubio should not be slept on and I think must start for the forseeable future.

Top free agent targets (listed in rough order of preference):

Guard:
Bogdan
Van Vleet (not realistic/would want to offload Rubio)
Augustin
Forbes
Dragic
Jevon Carter
Etwaun Moore

Wing/Forward:
Jerami Grant
Hayward (will likely pickup player option)
Gallinari
Joe Harris
Bertans (do we really want him at 16M+ if we have Cam at 4M?)

Bigs:
Davis (obligatory mention, not happening)
Saric
Nerlens Noel
Millsap
Christian Wood
Baynes
Ibaka
Meyers Leonard

Top trade targets:

Beal (would trade Ayton)
Simmons (would trade Ayton)
Levert
Gordon
Reddick
Lauri (ehh maybe)
.....
Probably plenty of smaller names but those are the main guys I’d be targeting. Needless to say if any star is on the market they move up the list.

Dude if we could get Anthony Davis here we'd be contending. We'd have to sell him on playing the 5 though. Rubio/Booker/Bridges/Johnson/Davis fits perfectly together. Starting him at 4 with Ayton at 5 is an offensive disaster and makes us no different from the Lakers. I mean the guy is a center, but he's in denial. He has a center's skill set and body in today's game.

I dunno guys, we're gonna have to choose between AD and Giannis in '21....we can't afford both.

I see AD or Giannis joining the Suns in '21 resemble Barkley joining in '92 and the team making the finals. One can dream.

I am about keeping Saric, Carter and Payne - preferably all on one year deals. SAric will be the toughest as I can see a team offering him a three year deal. So if need be - probably okay with it something like 3/20 in that range. Using the capulator - doesn't mess up next year too badly

Baynes on a one year deal - that might be okay

Unless I messed up capulator - the Suns could have around 30m of cap space in the 2021 offseason even signing a guy like Saric to a multi year deal this offseason.

Seeing the names listed - Bogdan or Bjelica would be two guys to look at. If the Suns do not pick up Franks option and do not sign Baynes - they could probably get. But that takes you out of the running that next summer. I think the Suns need a shooter / scorer off the bench.

I still think the Suns need one more year to grow - -so be smart, have the team get better, smart signings this offseason, one year deals and keep options open. I mean, in lieu of Baynes and Kaminsky, could they get Millsap on a one year deal for 12-15m of cap space. Granted, that still leaves a hole at the 2G. Granted, the right player this year is better than hoping for a player next year.
