Dude has been outstanding in the bubble. wasnt sure what to expect after injury and weak performance with the suns. but he has looked great. if he comes back on the cheap thats a huge get by marks. we need all the guard depth we can get between injuries and potentially trading dinwiddie or levert.

I’m cool with throwing the whole MLE we will have at this dude to keep him. He could be a super huge pick up for next season and he’s showing more and more to be a difference maker.

I’m not confident we can scoop anybody notable on the cheap outside of him like Ibaka, Millsap, Morris, etc.

He has been very good, especially the past few games, and he's starting to look like the guy he was in Miami early on. If he can keep the same efficiency, he's a very solid rotation guard to have for cheap.

I call him a cheaper DLo replacement. Good combo guard that has an excellent jump shot. His retention is all but a mere formality at this point.

We will have a dangerous roster next season.

Very good last second signing from Marks. TJ is a really good scorer/shooter and plays hard.

It's insane how stacked we are with our guards.

Ky, Din, Caris, TJ, Cheese, Crawford, Musa, Martin, etc.

Good problem to have.

What really surprised me was how he can shoot off the dribble and pull up after a set pick. I have no problem resigning "Meth Curry" lol

The best part about Tyler is the fact that dude WANTS to be here and has wanted to be here ever since Marks gave him an offer sheet that secured his family for life. When you hear him talk about that, I feel like he has a sense of loyalty to Marks and the franchise.

Here are his bubble stats:

12pts 3rpg 3apg on 55% TS (42% FG, 40% 3PT).

The Nets will have an elite guard rotation next season. Kyrie, LeVert, Spencer, Tyler, Cheese. Whew!!!!!

Yup. people fear a lack of depth if we make a big trade. and yeah we wont be AS deep. but we will still be really deep even if we dealt 3 or 4 of dinwiddie/levert/kurucs/allen

we would still have TJ/TLC/Temple/Prince + MLE. and thats on top of a starting lineup of KD/Kyrie/STAR/Harris/DJ

next year is gonna be bomb

No one is trading a STAR player for Dinwiddie’s expiring contract, LeVert, Allen, and some late 1st round picks.

Embiid, Simmons, Mitchell, Gobert, the Warriors top 3 pick. These are the types of trade assets teams would want when trading a star. Especially for Beal and LaVine who have MULTIPLE years left on their contract.

On one hand you say LeVert is the least efficient scorer in the league who is injury prone, but then at the same time you think LeVert + filler will get us a STAR? Does this logic not scream I’m an extreme homer who makes no sense?

We have his bird rights. We can sign him straight up.

Wait, what?

I’ve seen that posted here but is it 100% confirmed that we can go over the cap to sign him? that significantly changes everything and how we can build this off-season.

We have his Non Bird Rights, meaning that we can go over the cap to resign him if I'm not mistaken.

This roster is going to be loaded next season.

Non-bird is very limited. We can go over the cap, but it will only be for slightly more than the minimum.

I would like to keep him but don’t think they have the room. Unless they can trade musa, chandler and prince for draft picks and maybe an expiring big man. The nets are guard heavy as it is. We should keep chioza as a two way player. Durant wants Crawford signed. So that’s probably gonna happen. And honestly he is a good vet to have.

Irving/spencer/crawford
LeVert/temple
Harris/ TLC
Durant/rodi /claxton
Allen/Jordan

If we can’t get rid of Musa, prince and/or chandler then we won’t be able to sign Crawford and Johnson. We just won’t have roster space

Chandler is a free agent.

With the salary cap situation in question, we will probably not be able to salary dump Prince.
