Jimmy is going to have show he can play at another level to make a surprise run. Going to have to make some shots in the half court offense. The space is going to be tight with switching defenses. Being the most inefficient jump shooter in the league won't cut it.

Please people, don’t give Spo any more small ball ideas. It just doesn’t work. He wrecked Justice Winslow and Shane Battier by playing them at PF.

He showed last year with Philly he can elevate his game when it matters. I want some big statement games from him now. No plays off, put pressure on the rim, get to the line, and start hitting some midrange jump shots.
Bam needs to step up too. He’ll need to beat Turner in this series for us to have a good shot at advancing. He wasn’t very impressive in the bubble, hopefully he’s good to go.

Re: Miami Heat (5) @ Indiana Pacers (4) August 18th @ 4 PM EST
Here is my short, honest and completely unbiased prediction for game 1:
We fail to play Miami Heat defense and get into a mini shootout with the Pacers, ultimately falling short at the end. Warren, Oladipo and Turner will play well, but it''ll be Doug McDermott, TJ McConnell and Justin Holiday who truly hurt us. Historically, we have notoriously allowed 'scrubs' to go off on us. I just don't see how this game will be any different.
We are in for a rude awakening. A lot of Heat fans think this series will be a cakewalk, but the truth is we will be fighting for our lives. The playoffs are a different animal and the Pacers have the personnel to make things ugly, while we rely heavily on inexperienced youth.
The Pacers have seen the best of us but we have not seen the best of the Pacers yet. They know what to game plan for, whereas we don't necessarily know exactly what is coming. Spo is an extraordinary coach but his in game adjustments have always been his weak point.
Pacers 103
Heat 95
I am fairly certain there will be panic in the air in this sub after Tuesday. Just try and remind yourselves it's a 7 game series.. will ya?

I don't see the Pacers beating us. They don't have the play makers to do so. Teams are going to have to beat us by moving the ball if they don't have the clear personal advantage so unless Oladipo has it in him to score 30+ per game against us I don't see it happening we have too many competent on ball defenders to let guys outplay us in Butler, Crowder, Iggy, DJJr and Bam.
Also in the game we beat them in the bubble we shot below our average percentage as a team shooting 45% from the field and 32% from 3 point line. As a team this year we averaged 47% from the field and 38% from 3 and yet we still beat them by 22 points.
Guys like Doug McDermott aren't scoring 23pts in 22mins against our true rotation, also Mconnell or the Holiday bros scoring 8-11pts isn't going to tip the scales.

Just wanted to remind some folks that the Pacers don't have their lone allstar, and are a bit banged up.
If this series goes more than 5 games, I will be shocked. We've got the best players in the series on our team.

Why is that? So far the games really haven't felt much different than normal from a viewing perspective. Feel like the league has done a great job with the presentation of the bubble games.

Some of you all are scared of your own shadow. The sense of negativity in here is baffling.
IMO we looked in very good form during the bubble games overall. Our offense was great all season and it continued to be on point. Our defense was my main concern and I honestly saw us in improved form on that end in the recent set of games (not counting the Solomon Hill games). Jae in the starting lineup works and the integration of our versatile lengthy wing rotation has helped us level up defensively. I bet we see it more clearly in the playoffs.

Spo has got to be quick to yank Nunn if he doesn't tighten up.
