Thinking the starting lineup should have active bigs capable of defending the rim. Donovan and Joe are clever enough to play the PnR to generate offense for the bigs

I've been thinking about this and I think the right move would be to with Niang. While Niang can't do the same things as Bogey with the ball, he's the next best shooter the Jazz have. They'll need shooting to beat this DEN defense who like to scramble a lot.

The Jazz don't play an active defense. Everybody stays home and Rudy does everything else. Rudy's going to have to be disciplined and stick to his responsibilities as the only rim defender even if Jokic starts hitting shots. It will hurt his pride, but the Jazz have no chance if Gobert focuses on the 1 on 1 matchup.

I know Conley is an exemplary human being, a community leader, a good teammate etc, but him leaving irritates me. I am probably too cranky this morning. :o I am not sure you make that decision 100 out of 100 times. I defended the decision a couple of weeks ago, but noted that military families, who generally have scant financial resources to make sure everything goes smoothly, have births without the father present all the time. This isn't the first birth in the Conley family. Conley can easily afford to hire an army of people to make sure everything goes smoothly, though yes I know, it's about the important personal connection, not just about things going smoothly.

Conley is paid nearly $33 million dollars to be a leader on this team. He "earns" more than our bottom twelve guys put together, who are all making sacrifices to be away from their families. Conley failed to perform the first few months of the season and now he is bailing out right at a critical juncture. On the bright side, Conley was able to knock down shots at a respectable percentage after the All Star break, even while continuing to be an undersized, often struggling defender. And he was starting to connect with Rudy on alley oops. We badly need Conley's offense this series imo. Can the Jazz get their money back? Ok, I am done crazily ranting about Conley.

The Jazz just sent a player(JWF) home in order to get a coach in the bubble. This is such an indictment on JWF having in mind we are missing Conley for at least 2 games.

The Jazz will play Mitchell, Clarkson and Ingles at the 1. Maybe Mudiay gets a few minutes. More likely, Oni gets legit playing time on the wing to cover some of the minutes.

I feel like there's going to be a huge load on Mitchell and Ingles.

Surprise...I can't believe there's someone who believes in Juwan Morgan like I do.

This makes sense to me strategically if we put Morgan on Jokic. But I thought there were better options. I guess Brantley being a bit erratic offensively meant Quin not being comfortable with him as a starter.

It also means he wants Clarkson specifically as a second unit scorer.

Really? Morgan has some size, which the Jazz lack, but he has looked absolutely horrible in the bubble. Like, is he even an NBA player horrible. Is this a hack a shaq approach to try to not let Jokic get into a rhythm early in the game?

Or it's to keep the bench unit as competitive as possible by hiding a bad player with the starters. At least he plays defense, but he's not very good.

Bradley+Mudiay is just so ugly... We are lucky to be down just 6 with Denver being so hot from 3.

Juwan Morgan gets in and gives up a wide open layup. Of course.

Gives me hope that they might cool a bit. Although Mitchell went nuclear, too, so who knows.

I can't comment live 'cause my crappy ADSL can't handle both streaming and Real GM at same time.

Mitchell plays better when he's pissed off. I wonder what he's upset about?

Instead of pissed off he should be amused.
Craig may have some good games against him but by no means he can lock Spida long term.

Stumps and Ol'Man Aussie stepped up to provide Don some help.

It was about time.
