You could say Hayward’s contract is a poor one, but then again who knew he would snap his leg in half during his first game.

I see the Horford/Hayward/Kemba max contracts as a somewhat different task than resigning your own guys. There's different stuff that goes into luring a max free agent.

Ainge has done very well every time he's had to resign his own young talent.
