Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
The only WWE MMA style fight I'd have any interest in would be Lashley vs Lesnar - and only if it wasn't in the dingy "underground" setting that Shane set up.

After lol’ing upon first sight, I’m trying to be open minded about kayfabe brawl for all so long as it’s an angle and not a thing.

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
So what was the new faction?
I dunno I enjoyed the show, except The Hurt Business losing the titles but they made up for crashing that underground ish. WWE ain't just wrestling anymore, I've already surrendered to that idea. For me they have improved a lot in the storytelling aspect and are doing a phenomenal job (for their standards) of leaving crumbs per episode only to build on those for future shows.
If I want wrestling, storytelling, and character development, I'd only focus and watch matches from Drew, Orton, Andrade, Garza, and Banks

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
I mean... everything about Shane's garbage show is so contrived - even the name is basically stolen from Lucha Underground. The go-go girls... how is that entertaining in any non-cheap way? The atmosphere is... just stupid. The fighting is copied from cheap C minus movies from the 80's. Shane looks so desperate with his beet-red face pleading for people to like me like you like Joe Rogan. Next he'll have the competitors eat cockroaches. Lucha Underground did this so much better.

Lucha Underground was the perfect combination of quality (by wrestling standards) storytelling and great in-ring action.
The problem is WWE rarely has either, and when they do have a good thing going, they usually find a way to screw it up at some point.

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
Best part of the show was Joe standing up to rollins and Buddy.
They almost did an identical thing with AOP earlier when joe dropped the line, “if I get up it’s not to move. If I get up it’s both your asses.”
Such a shame about Joe’s injuries. He has the it factor and presence that you just can’t teach. Would love to see him get a sustained run at the top before he permanently retires to the announce table.

Pretty good RAW.
Dominic is doing great in this program.
Randy is at his best in this role.
The new stable isn't really doing it yet though.

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
with raw underground, they should just go full bloodsport with it and have the mma style wrestlers on it with lucha underground style cinematics and camerawork, plus have it be an exclusively third hour thing. Done, have guys like Lashley, Riddle, Lesnar maybe on it and go from there. Actually better yet, cut raw down to 2 hours and give Bloodsport a 1 hour tv slot instead (would improve the television across all three hours for USA as well).
But honestly, they need a draft cause everything on this show feels stale and boring, even Retribution, i'm not sure what the hell its meant to be (rioters i'm guessing) and why the camerawork is so damn bad (even by Kevin Dunn's low standards of production). I know the booking will remain just downright all time bad as long as Vince is at the helm but at least a shakeup can do something to freshen things up in the short term. When you have the same damn matches with the same damn feuds each and every week, do you wonder why ratings are down, who wants to watch the same damn show over and over again for months on end.

Clearly the best way to debut a new faction is to have them do absolutely nothing for multiple weeks while remaining totally anonymous.

you would think he should be able to at this point, he got punted in 07 as well during their feud iirc and he sold that like death.

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
One thing that Raw Underground has taught me is that Shane should absolutely never announce again. Just shouting "Nice name of move!" over and over was intolerable. I understand that they don't want a Raw-like announce crew but for the love of pete at least get him to stop shouting.
