Re: Injuries: Langford (R.Wrist); Hayward (R.Ankle)
Looked like a bad sprain. We won't need Hayward against Philly, but we may against Milwaukee. He was going to leave the bubble anyway for the birth of his next child. Hopefully that happens soon so he can recuperate while he's away.

Eric Gordon couldn’t even put weight on his ankle and had to be carried off the court when he sprained his ankle. He missed 6 seeding games.
Good news is Hayward walked off under his own power. I’m skeptical he’s back this series but I think they can survive without him. They need him next round though

Hayward last twisted that same ankle in February 2019 during a workout. Missed one game then.

I mean I'd be surprised if he'd never previously sprained both of his ankles...that's like a basketball right of passage lol.

Yeah the good news is it's not the same ankle he broke/effed up in October of 2017. Looked like a bad sprain.
It's disappointing Brad had all season to prepare Langford for this moment (multiple injuries to our wings; Ojeleye minutes) and even knew that Hayward was going to leave the bubble at some point. Now we get to watch added possessions from Wanamaker and Smart while Ojeleye takes on some minutes again.

Meh, it's a rolled ankle. When I played it would happen to me every other week. If he was properly taped it should be no big deal. And there are ways to bring down the swelling with ice and then some time in a whirlpool.
Even if he misses some games, they've got Ojeleye or Grant Williams to put a bigger body on Horford.

Yeah players with ankle tendinitis can sprain their ankle almost every day, get it retaped, and be ready to go back out and play. I don't think Hayward had been dealing with reoccurring mild ankle sprains so I don't think the treatment process will be quick. It didn't look like a high-ankle sprain at least.

This is going to be a problem if he misses any real time. We are already going 3 or 4 on 5 on offense many plays.
3 out of Walker Smart Brown and Tatum pretty much be out there at all times now.

Depends on what you consider good news. I am not a doctor but I don't think he tore ligaments or anything(then again with Hayward who knows) but I going to assume by the end of the day we hear it is a sprain (not that would be breaking news) and he is going to be out a while.
