This is a pretty weak draft, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the FO if that ends up being our pick, but I'd be very disappointed initially if we chose him while guys like Haliburton, Hayes, Nesmith, Vassell, Maledon and Williams are still on the board.
I see the appeal for Okoro.
Great finisher and soft touch at the rim. Smart team defender, athletic, NBA ready body, 19 years old, flashed passing and PnR ability.
His shot is busted from what I seen, but you hope with his soft touch at the rim, he will able to develop his shot. But that all depends on his mentality and work ethics. He has the mentality to win and is competitive from what I seen from his film and interviews.
I could see him jumping up on draft boards if we actually have a combine. I'm intrigued by the potential. But I can understand the doubt on his shot improving.

I just feel like his best case scenario is a stronger Jae Crowder.
Now, don't get me wrong, getting Jae Crowder at 7 in a weak draft is actually ok, but I feel that would be his ceiling.
Edit: let me elaborate a little bit.
I feel that it's more probable that Hayes learns to shoot/finish, Haliburton learns to create his own shot, Vassell learns to create better, Nesmith becomes a stronger defender, etc.
Also, I feel that a similar player to the archetype of these other guys is harder/more expensive to get in FA than a strong individual defender that can't shoot for ****. We actually have one right now.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.
