Without home court advantage and the fans, there are probably going to be a few upsets in this year's playoffs. The Bucks and Lakers didn't look too good in the seeding games. I'm guessing one of them goes out early.

He's so good at getting to the line which our team desperately needs. Things tighten up in the playoffs and having someone that can drive and create contact becomes vital.

It must be so nice to get a player like Gary Trent Jr in the 2nd round... Knocking down 3's in tight playoff games and marking Lebron while being barely legal.

Btw, props to Steve Clifford. I think he outcoached the Bud. He’s a very underrated coach.

Bud again fell into a similar trap he used to see during his days with the Hawks.

Underdogs got the advantage IMO. Psychological edge because of intrinsic motivation plus less pressure from home crowd. It’s also easier to recoup and restart when ever you take a hit.

I’m more confident in Blazers and I still think Bucks got the edge on this.

1.) fultz was good but still not there for me. I still believe he’ll be very good.
2.) need to run 2 man game with a big against the Bucks
3.) Fultz empowers Vuc, need someone who can do the same for Biid
4.) Burks averaged 1.03 ppp on PnR, JRich is around as good as Fultz at around .80+ppp

I was thinking about why dont we run more PnRs with Jrich and Burks as ball handlers just like how Magic does it. The primary goal is to set our bigs up against the Celts. This should limit the TOs.

Did you guys watch the Lakers vs Blazers game? Both teams played with two bigs on the floor. For the Blazers, that’s Nurkic and Whiteside.

Blazers didnt look like an 8th seed

I've been preaching all year (to an obnoxious degree, even for me) about how the Bucks/Lakers have no shot to win a title, regardless of how good a regular season team they were. The Lakers have no halfcourt talent. The Bucks have a minuscule amount. Neither team has a star that can score on the ball.

I do think that the Bucks will win the series (less confident in the Lakers), but I did think about your thoughts on these two teams while watching these games.

The sad thing is we had bad luck with Fultz's injury. If he's shooting with confidence like he was in the first preseason we probably would make him the pg and slide Simmons to power forward in his first season( and probably woudnt make the trades after for butler and tobias).

So are the 76ers officially in trust the process 2.0 mode?

No, because that would require a process to be trusting. There is no plan. Kyle Neubeck said it best:

It goes a long way toward explaining how one organization could think Markelle Fultz and Jimmy Butler were the needed missing pieces to go to the promised land with Embiid and Simmons, only to throw the gross domestic product of a small island nation at a center who they wanted to play power forward next to their max-contract center, and a power forward they wanted to play small forward before their point guard eventually made the switch to power forward.

There is no coherent vision. There are a bunch of names and attempts at procuring star power, without consideration that perhaps all they needed was time and small tweaking. Not this franchise — they wanted to go after LeBron James. They wanted to trade a hometown kid in the draft for extra ammo on the star-trading market. They wanted to get the guy who tortured Embiid as a rival and has caused him even more strife as his frontcourt partner.

Damn...You know the crazy thing is that people said Hinkie was unproven and this would never work blah blah blah. But when he was basically pushed out, he left this team with a lot of picks and cap space. Then the real professionals came in and took over and this is what you have today.

It's like the guy who has no formal education but he is a hard worker and decides to educate himself about investing and makes a lot of money. When he dies his kids inherent his money and thinking they are smarter than their father because they went to good schools and have more "education" than him. And what happens they eventually end up blowing all of the money they inherited.

sad sad sad.

Hinkie wanted to win. Most people in the NBA dont care as much about winning as they care about getting money and staying in the league, in whatever position they have, as much as possible. Look what Van Gandy did to Detroit as a GM-coach, or what the Orlando FO did.

We need to get rid of Brand, first and foremost. He is incompetent, but if stays he will also be desperate which is even worse.

T'Wolves win the lottery. Let's see how they blow this.
