These media outlets are really digging their own graves. They helped Trump in 2016, and they are helping him now. But hey, it's AOC's fault for MSNBC twisting ****.

The DNC has removed a pledge to eliminate fossil fuel subsidies from the Party platform. I would’ve thought that they would’ve at least waited until he took office.

We were always going to get blamed for the DNC’s screwups no matter what. I’m pretty sure it’s all there in the first thread.

I should bookmark this tweet and just repost it every time someone tries to pretend that the left is uniquely toxic for having some bad actors.

I'm going to go ahead and say it. They knew about it beforehand. But this is all about laying the groundwork for blame just in case Biden loses. God forbid establishment dems take some accountability for losing to Trump.

I assme thats why his speech was so short. They had to show respect, but not so much that they'd give him anything of prominence.

And the media's not looking for excuses for Bidens losses, they're looking to put progressives vs moderates, we'll see if mods take the bait.

If this procedural nomination is the biggest controversy to come of the convention, the Dems are in great shape

I honestly think this is just click bait journalism. They know that a headline about AOC doing a procedural thing won't generate much attention...but AOC the uncompromising rebel is lightning in a bottle any time they can play that card. Sparking beef between the moderates and progressives is a value play that leads to a ton more engagement than they'd otherwise have gotten.

Get back to me after the debates. At some point...we will have to get a look at these 2 going one on one with Biden having to answer actual questions in front of a camera. I'm still waiting for an explanation about the kids petting his legs and jumping on his lap. Among other things he's said. They can't hide him forever.

Here is Biden's last 1-on-1 debate. Bernie is much sharper than Trump, so if Biden can match this performance, he'll be fine.

All Biden has to do on a debate stage with Trump is look coherent. Trump is bound to try and throw him off his game but it really just comes down to appearing competent. Biden should aim to be boring and stick to his message, no risks is the right strategy right now.

Edit: Not directly related but here's an interesting thread on a poll that adds to the "Clinton was a uniquely bad candidate" argument that places Biden in a much more comfortable place than Clinton ever was...

"No Risks" is basically what's emblazoned across the Biden campaign bus at this point

 This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to start and end a game running the prevent defense all along. Normally and even prior to the pandemic, I felt this strategy wouldn't work but given the current situation and what polling looks like...it's Occam's Razor.

Unless you're insinuating theres proof out there that he's a diddler those things have nothing to do with anything

Polls really wont matter till next week. Lets see how much of a bump that Trump gets coming out of the republican convention.

Wrong. Explain what he was even talking about and why? Explain that outburst of insanity. What do roaches have to with children rubbing his leg hair and jumping on his lap. What the hell is he even talking about? Dementia?
