Overall body of work though, I'd argue last year PG was the anomaly not the rule. I have Tatum's ceiling north of PG, north of PP, north of Ray Allen and guys like Drexler. Where I think his ceiling ultimately rests is right below the true greats and elite physically dominant wings and guards guys like Lebron, Magic, Giannis, Durant, Jordan et al. I'd put his ceiling at Kobe, who I consider a step down from those guys. Elite scorer, excellent defender, 10+ time all-star, maybe steals a couple MVPs and wins as many rings as the team around him allows. Not sure he is a killer like Kobe, but he's certainly a better shooter.

Take out last year....5x all star, 4x all nba third team, 2x all defensive second team, 1x all defensive 1st team,....

just saying it’s not an insult comparing Tatum to PG at all. I’m one of Tatums biggest supporters here and he looks like he should surpass George but it’s not blasphemy for the comparison.

I certainly didn't say the comparison was blasphemous, just that PG as his ceiling seems low considering he's already on (or close to) par with him.

In 3 years time you are looking at Tatum, Luka, Giannis, Zion and AD as your top 5 players in this league. Tatum has entered that stratosphere IMO

Fine. After tonight's performance, maybe Rashard Lewis. Maybe.

He is just a Celtics and Danny Ainge hater. Always talking about Ainge hanging on to his precious assets. There is a video on youtube of him saying Ainge should have traded the picks that became Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum (as well as the good contracts necessary for matching) to acquire Jimmy Butler. We supposedly had a chance to win it all in the IT era and Danny just loved his precious assets.

Those precious assets are looking pretty damn good.

Tatum is a player you build your team around. The Cs better lock him up ASAP. If Tatum bolts in FA, this team is doomed for the next 5-6 years. Perhaps longer.

Almost everything has been borderline effortless for him since before the stop. On both ends of the court. That side step three is legitimately one of the smoothest shots I’ve ever seen and I also love his little floater in the lane.

The only criticism I have of Tatum is that you never see him play mad. I always admired that in guys like Kobe and Pierce. They could take it to another level.

And people questioning his work ethic after his terrible game vs MIL were real takes lol.

He’s picking up right where he left off before the hiatus. If only he had a hoop in his driveway though!

Remember when people were trying to say Siakam & Ingram were on the same level as him ... how cute.
