I think the big difference is having Fultz as a ball handler.

Pressure Fultz as a ball handler and it’ll be layup city imo.

Lay-up city? Forgive me but I still have nightmares where I can't trust our players to finish at the rim.

But yeah, If you are talking ONLY about dribbling/handling the ball..we have Fultz and DJ who probably are A+ in the league with that.

actually fultz is one of the better finishers in the league at guard....dj however...........

Gotta disagree. Fultz is getting really damn good at creating. But if he plays DJ at the 1 and Fultz at the 2 again I may lose it.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

We dared Giannis to make a pass and let the role players hit 3s, none of that worked out and it will be painful for us when it does.

The biggest advantage we can have in this series is the one that won us the game the other night. Playing with energy and effort. They're always going to be better coached and more talented on paper than us. But if we can play harder and continue to frustrate them with our length and athleticism on the defensive end we can at least keep this series somewhat competitive.

They shot 33% from 3 and 64% from the line last game. The likelihood of those percentages sticking is very slim. They're going to come out hungrier and they're going to shoot better as well. We have to be ready for that.

While we won't win the series, I'm no longer convinced that it has to result in blowouts like I thought it would coming in. Our athleticism can at least bother them defensively, but I still have my doubts that Clifford will be able to match the adjustments that Bud will make going forward.

He stood no chance against Nurse last year with the adjustments he made after Game 1.

I'm just disappointed I didn't put money on the magic when they were paying $301 to win the championship. Now they're paying $226 so it hardly seems worth it.

Just finished all the post-game interviews.

The total lack of energy from i) coach to ii) the players.

Orlando expected to win and is already focussed on game-2. These are Professionals with a big P.

Orlando will be focused on game-2.

Who will replace him tho?

I can't recall who was better backup PG for Magic in last 15 years ?

Alston was not efficienct AT ALL, Arenas was on complete decline, Arroyo and Dooling were fine, but Dooling was shoot fist ,shoot second PG.

Maybe Magic can solve their backup PG slot with 2020 draft pick... So i guess that's one of the options, but in FA there won't be many solid Pgs to pick.

FA sucks this year. Dj seems interested resigning.
Draft is interesting. Winston, Flynn, Pritchard, NDoye, Dotson, Riller in 2nd. Many more in 1st.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

DJ had a very good game and he seems to step up in the playoffs

But let's not make him out to be a great play maker because he simply is not. He dribbles and dribbles and runs down the clock to pass it to someone else not in scoring position with 4 or less seconds left on the clock.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind keeping him under a different coach that doesn't run the offense through him and has the poor shooting but superior play maker stand in a corner rendered useless

Yes, because the “I told you so” is going to be so worth another 4 years of first round exits with no growth.

Might as well bust out that Dwight jersey. It was the last time we were relevant.
