Jays/Phillies 8/20 Double Header
These are 7 inning games I guess? Anyway, 2-0 hole in the 4th.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

ESPN Gamecast must be acting up. Just said Bryce Harper bunted out to the pitcher to end the inning with a man on base.

Got a stew going in the bottom of the 7th which is possibly the final inning?

Pretty sure we're in playoff position now.

And... Thornton can't even make it through the first inning... sigh... he's been pretty good so far. Hopefully they manage the comeback.

Anthony Alford was sacrificed for this.

Alford has no business being in the majors. I'm amazed that didn't happen already.

Re: Jays/Phillies 8/20 Double Header
Of course in typical Jays fashion we have some more drama.

Re: Jays/Phillies 8/20 Double Header
I'll take a bit of drama at this point. This team is okay - not bad or good, just okay. Having some bumps on the way up is fine. I find myself liking this team win or lose.

Didn’t make things easy there at the end
What a game
Also, that 7 run inning shows exactly why the so called unwritten rule that allows you to throw at people because someone swung at a 3-0 pitch in a “blowout” is so moronic (amongst many other reasons)

Re: Jays/Phillies 8/20 Double Header
Back around .500, where I figured we'd be. Ought to be good enough for a playoff spot this year with the expanded format.
The offense has come to life, but the starters have fallen off a cliff. Is it too much to ask to get 7 IP out of a starter at some point?

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Some of that is on Montoya. Has he even let a starter throw 100 pitches in a game yet? Seems like he pulls a good start at ~85 pitches.
