Stannis wrote:"When progressives challenge Democrats who vote with Trump 2/3rds of the time, Nancy Pelosi cries foul and works with the (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee) to make a blacklist for anyone helping the challenger. "It's never been about protecting incumbents, it's been about protecting big Democratic donors profiting off the status quo."

But if they lose, it's Bernie's fault.

"For two years, Democratic Party leadership has endorsed incumbents over progressive primary challengers claiming it is their policy to always back incumbents -- even when the incumbent was anti-choice and endorsed by the NRA"

"But now, when a sitting US Senator champions the Green New Deal while wildfires blanket Speaker Pelosi's home state in smoke, she chooses to endorse a challenger."

They don’t want us to have an honest broker like Bernie. Why do you think all of the corporate donors are now lining up behind Biden?

it's not enough that you vote for biden, you also have to shut up and act like you enjoy it. that's what it boils down to. they should be happy you're at least willing to compromise your values

Exactly.

They invite all of these "moderate" republicans and wonder why they lose elections. These two parties are really not that much different after all, I guess. They just proved that point. What does a moderate republican believe in that is consistent with Democratic principles other than their alleged hatred of Trump? John Kasich is anti-women and anti-worker. Those, in and of themselves, should disqualify anyone from speaking at a DNC event ... "but we're so much more compassionate than Trump." FOH

Point is to show they're not radical leftists like they're being labeled, has nothing to do with whether or not they agree on anything. I mean they're going too far with this kumbaya ****, but there is a point to it.

She said the reason why she backed Elliot Engel against Jamall Bowman was because of her "golden rule." She should get a golden shower instead.

They were stupid to put themselves in that situation by letting her speak at the convention.
Regardless, these days are trump rules, they shouldve been vague as **** in their repudiations.

Not really. They want Muslim votes, and they picked the right person for that. Then threw her under the bus after some backlash (which was mostly pro-Trumpers trying to paint certain dems as anti-semite). Instead of holding your ground, DNC fell right into that trap.

It could have been a good moment for unity that they always talked about.

Ok yea no idea why she'd endorse someone who defended the **** tea party. But whatever the reason, she need not be doing **** like this for this cycle specifically

Except this convention hasnt been about that. But nice random complaint to show you havent been paying attention.

Yeah, it kinda has. Obama ripped Trump. It still won't work.

I skimmed through most of the convention. Did they talk about China's crime against human rights at all? Mainly about what the Chinese government is doing to Hong Kong and the Uyghurs?

What more can you really say about Trump. It's worthless just to rant on him without juxtaposing the specific policies you're bringing to the table.

The problem with painting yourself as a good guy is that you must always do so. She has more than enough dirt where it's noticeable and can be used against her. Trump doesnt do this so he can shake off any media criticism easily. Dems need to learn that good guy label means jack **** and until then, avoid avoidable situations like this.

I have no doubt there's something there, but I do worry that they won't be able to make it stick. Between the Mueller Report and now the SSCI report; it's kinda mindblowing that Trump, through repetition by himself and sycophants, essentially was able to convince so many people that the impeachment was a witch hunt.

He ripped trump and his ability to lead, didn't attack Trump or his followers on a personal level. It's wishful thinking on your part that this wont work, but I believe it will.

If the nixon administration happened in this era, not only do I think that watergate wouldve been shrugged off, but Agnew wouldve still been vp as well. Both sides care very little about crimes if it keeps them in power. Democrats are only limited because they love that useless good guy label for some reason.
