Sixers trade
Tobias Harris: 4 years, 147.24M
Hope this a joke right? Have a go at Harris contact. Easily worst in the league and should be enough to get their GM sacked. Thats a disgrace. He will be on 41 million in three years time!!

Re: Stay the course or rebuild now
Tobias' contract never made any sense to me. This is a player that has never been sniffed an all star selection and probably never will. Al Horford is also a pretty bad contract on the same team
Chris Middleton is another terrible contract.
Then there are Chris Paul, Westbrook contracts are bad due to age. Wiggins is bad because he sucks.
John wall yuck. Also not sure Murray and Brown had earned those contracts and got them based on potential

no, cant touch that Harris contract. For a Philly team that is just needing a #2, not a #1. 14 ppg 10-30 fg. that was one of the worst signings

Agreed. If we’re going to absorb a massive contract, I’d rather collect a high pick with it (like Wiggins & GSW pick) to at least have a couple shots at lucky lightning.

Re: Stay the course or rebuild now
Curious how many people would do this? Lets say Warriors do not win lottery and fall to #3 or #4.
Would you trade #15, Gordon, Ross for #4 and Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Looney? And if we acquired a top 5 lotto pick who would you take?

No. Bringing Wiggins in will destroy any opportunities we can create to better our roster. We'll be in cap hell for another 3 years and a top pick in this year's draft isn't enough for that kind of burden

I agree, i would only consider it for both their and wolves 2021 pick and only if we want to tank for Cunningham next year. 3 years lost for fultz okeke and 2 for isaac.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I’d make a Wiggins trade but not so much going out...at least keep our pick or sub Aminu for TRoss...I’d take Wiggins and hope for a revival but that contract requires more gratitude.

Lol the fact that we’re talkijg about aaron gordon being one of the best players on this team only shows how terrible this team is. Blow it up!jezzerinho wrote:OrlandoNed wrote:pepe1991 wrote:
Gordon had best percentages, from efficiency POV, yet he only averaged 15 ppg. Did he built upon "sucess" of playoffs? Not really, returned next year with maybe one of his worst seasons .
It's 4-5 games games sample size, without somebody going apsolute bonkers and dropping 30 a game nothing will really change
PPG isn't everything. AG averaged 15 points but he was also defending freaking Kawhi and Siakam and was by far the most effective offensive player among our top 4 options. Evan and Vuc were absolutely terrible on both ends of the floor all series. No he didn't build upon his play in the following regular season, but he's still the only one of our top players who showed up and didn't wilt under the pressure of the playoffs. For a guy who wanted playoffs as bad as you, you don't seem to have an issue poo-poo'ing the only starter other than freaking DJ that didn't crap himself on the biggest stage.
Have to agree with this. AG really shone on the playoffs and if it showed nothing more about him than he's a useful player for playoff basketball, then that's a pretty good accolade in itself.
Vuc on the other hand.....

I'd 100% do it.
Don't think Golden State would. Feels like they'd want Gordon instead of Fournier.
Which I'd still do.

Re: Stay the course or rebuild now
no chance I would trade for wiggins and 2nd pick. Wiggins and Minnesota 2021 FRP would be something to consider.
AG to Phoenix for 10, seems like the best possible trade for draft picks this year.
Minnesota and GS getting the first two picks was probably the worst outcome if the Magic wanted to move far up into the lottery. Unless Golden State doesn't want to pay the 2nd pick $8M next year.

Woj came out before the lotto and said GS absolutely is trading #2. They’re trying to win titles now
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Gordon isn't really worth #2 though or 8, or 9 or 10

Don't think he's #2 worthy but absolutely mid to late lottery.

Oh agreed. GS is getting a difference maker for 2. They absolutely call Washington for Beal.

Not sure how the No. 2 overall pick in 2020 is less valuable than the 2021 Wolves pick when the Wolves are definitely going to be pushing for the playoffs next year.

Who are the Wolves going to beat up on in the West next year? Warriors are a playoff team. Memphis, SA, Suns, NO? I am not sure edwards is making them any better as a rookie, if they go that way. It will be curious to see what they do with Beasley this offseason.
I mean it is top 4 protected I think, but next years draft is loaded with wings after Cade, unprotected in 2022 which might even be more valuable. All those kids probably won't all be as highly regarded by next years draft, but other players will be moving up too. I would easily take next years 7th over the 2nd in this one. Just on potential.
