Bottom 3 moves on the list are pretty bad and blames should be justified.
You have to look at the context of some of these HORRIFIC draft picks.
1. 2013- They traded 22 year old All-Star in Jrue Holiday to get the Noel(6th pick) and another 1st the next year. Remember, teams were concerned about Noel's torn left ACL at that time.
2. 2014 - They drafted Embiid #3, the context... he underwent surgery on a broken bone in his right foot which would rule him out for the next 4-6 months, 6 days later the 76ers drafted him #3.
3. 2015 - It's hard to believe this is true that with the #3 pick the 76ers, for basically the 3rd year in a row all top 6 or higher picks, drafted a center.
I don't see how any owner could allow a franchise to basically use 3 near the top of the draft picks on centers. At best case they all ended up working out but you get lowballed on trades because other teams know YOU HAVE 3 HIGHLY DRAFTED CENTERS ON YOUR TEAM AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE MINUTES FOR THEM. 2016-2017 all 3 were on the roster together somewhat healthy. Basically the 76ers were flushing 1 if not 2 lottery picks down the toilet, if you're going to draft another center, how about trading one of the others first for something?
The Giannis miss is fine, he grew after he was drafted but I believe the real point was that in that draft they traded 22 year old Jrue Holiday(after making an all-star team that year) and had 2 of the top 11 picks with CJ being drafted right before MCW(11th pick) and Stephen Adams being picked right after MCW. It was a disaster of a draft, they could have kept Jrue and added Stephen Adams at 11 or even Olynyk, there were a lot of quality/solid centers in that draft after 11, Gobert, Dieng, M.Plumlee. It's really tough to not over strees that there was enough center depth in the draft to not trade a 22 year old all-star for a HURT unproven center and another draft pick and although the draft is hit and miss.
