People can't get out their emotions about his father...
Ball is going to be great.... He's not even 19 yet and he's already so advanced in his vision and ball handling.
It's going to be funny to see people change their tune on him.

Wiseman is my top choice, but I really love what I've seen of Killian Hayes. He just has a great feel for the game and his height and skillset complement both LaVine and White.

Here's one way to get Wiseman:
I don't think I'd do it because I think WCJ would've gone Top 3 if he were in this class, and do we really want to use yet another lottery pick on a big? You look around the league and the most valuable players are these 6'7 - 6'9 forwards who can shoot, dribble, and pass at an elite level (in which we have none in our roster). Though I don't know if there's anybody that fits that criteria in this class.
I haven't paid attention at all to this draft class, but looking around tankathon.com, it doesn't look like anybody in the top 5 can shoot the 3 ball? That's crazy to me.

i want his father to take control of the Bulls bc all of his sons are so talented.
Want to trade for lonzo and get liangelo, forming a 3 ball deathlineup.
lamelo and lonzo are so talented they can be starters for the next decade.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

Anyone dismissing players is an awful scout.
Never ever underestimate/dismiss anyone. Just try not to. I know it's hard NOT to do it (I'm guilty as well) because we're human with bias and emotional baggage. Besides Steph Curry being picked at 7, Giannis was selected at 15. Manu Ginobili was the last pick in the draft. Dennis Rodman is a 2nd rounder.
AK and the new front office has to study extremely hard on this selection. Again, I don't care about fit. This is about BPA and everyone here will have different opinions.
Hell, AK can try down if he wanted and try to get more future picks. He can trade up. It's up to them.
Is there a Dwyane Wade level player to trade UP for?

And amare has no chance in this league who plays no defense and cant shoot 3s which is why he couldnt get out of retirement.
ak just has to hope one of those 3 stars fall.
This.
Don’t get what people see in Toppin at the NBA level. He’s John Collins w even less D at his peak.
It’s a wing league people.
I agree with that it is... but it's also a best player available league...
I think a 20+ppg (possibly 25+) efficient scorer with Heart isn't the worst thing in the world at pick 4.
I need someone to explain to me what everyone sees in Deni tho.
I get he's a SF. What else does he have going for him?
As far as I see, forget the word great, he's not even "Good" at anything. He's avg at best at every single basketball skill.
Why should I be more excited about him than say, Joe Ingles? Because from what I've seen, he still has a ways to go to even match him...

Upside! Potential! None of that personality or high character nonsense weighted so heavily.
It's so refreshing to have a FO who makes decisions based on basketball reasons.

Saying Wiseman or Ball cannot shoot is premature. Sure i would prefer shooters since im a big gsw system supporter, but its one of the easiest to develop. They just dont have to be afraid like Simmons and completely abandon it. I would heavily consider using Carter to move up to top 3 to get one of Wiseman/Ball//Edwards. Warriors pick sounds ok at 2.

It definitely will. He's about to dominate this league.

Coby is not going to be a factor if AK wants best talent like Ball.
He is a combo guard and probably his like a Lou Williams type 6th man yr. Hes just not a full time pg like Luka.
My dream is get Ball at 4, trade overpaid Lavine, and move super scorer White to the 2 spot where he can develop as 2nd playmaker.
im not high on him but thats the best i can do to him. not going to give him full power to control Lauri with 30 usg. no way.

Nobody really cares about his dad anymore.
The problem is that he's a 6'8" man who shoots like a 5'2" girl.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Thread: Bulls pick 4th!
Nice! I was actually trying to decide between going to dinner and watching the lotto and I remembered that I didn't watch when we landed Rose so I went to dinner. Guess I can never watch a lotto again but I'll take it lol. Yeah I guess it's not as exciting as it would have been to move up a few years ago but I would always rather draft one of the first guys out of a tier than take whoever's leftover and 4 seems like a good spot where maybe we don't get the highly touted guys but we can pick up the best of the rest. I wasn't expecting to get some franchise changing talent out of this draft anyway so if we can end up with a solid pick I'm happy but you never know even "bad" drafts have pretty amazing players sneak by so I don't mind this kind of spot in a draft like this. In a way it frees up the FO to pick who they think is best rather than go with the consensus and if there isn't a strong consensus I don't mind that position.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Thread: Bulls pick 4th!
It seems like the initial set of players we'd be looking at would be Hayes, Halliburton, Advija and Toppin. With of course a look at the top 3 just in case. But those 4 players would seem right now to be the most likely choices at 4. I think I'd be in favor of either Halliburton or Hayes- Advija just looks soft and not athletic enough, and Toppin, just not sure how well his game will translate.

I don't see how Lavine is overpaid at 19.5 mil.

kodo wrote:1. MIN - Anthony Edwards
It's a no brainer that Wiseman doesn't go #1 here, about the only team that wouldn't consider it. Wiseman has zero PF capability. Russell is their PG, so they almost certainly take the best wing.
2. GSW - Wiseman
There's a great chance they trade this for someone who helps them next season, but either way I think the player with the most hype goes #2 and that's Wiseman.
3. CHA - Deni/OB
This might seem high for either guy, but CHA has two PGs both averaging 32+ mpg and 18 ppg. Lamelo isn't the type of PG that can slide to SG either, shooting is the worst aspect of his game. PJ & Miles are their "bigs" at 6' 6" and 6' 7", with Zeller at the 5. I think MJ would go for some size here.
4. CHI - Hayes/LaMelo/Haliburton
This draft order came out wonderfully for Chicago even though we didn't get #1. Because all 3 teams ahead of us are completely loaded at the PG position (Steph Curry, D.Russell, Devonte), which leaves us as the first team picking with a clear need at PG.
There's a solid chance that picking #4 we pick whoever we would have picked at #1.
So you aren't high about Coby being our starter point for a long time?
