Nurkic foul was awful. But otherwise I feel the reffing has been relatively fine except maybe the phantom third Wenyen foul.

Just can't hit anything despite getting good looks.

I don't know about that Trent call being good. He was ahead and had a layup, it looked like he was making sure he didn't get run over and hurt. He also didn't push hard, he just kept his spacing and Lebron flopped. Fouls are supposed to be about getting an advantage, and I think Trent already had Lebron beat. But who knows.

True, but as someone who has played against people who do that all the time i'm okay with that call. Probably because I'm the person who always goes for those blocks, but still

One on one shots look fine when they go down...when they don't? Not. so. much...

I expect the Blazers to get hotter than they have been in the first half. Still don't expect them to win...

Well this is the point I check out of the game for a bit. I see no point in just getting myself angry, and who knows maybe I'm the one causing all the misses

The body language from portland guys doesn't look great. Especially Nurkic. To me, he's looked frustrated and tired for most of this game.

Agree'd, but it's the Lakers with LeBron so i'm not surprised. It's just how it's gonna go, hopefully the Blazers start hitting their shots and that'll go a long way towards making this a game

Bad on all fronts here. Shooting, defense, rebounding, energy.

LBJ weighs 250 pounds
Gary Trent weighs 209 pounds

I bet Gary could not knock LBJ over with one arm under nearly any circumstance, and you can clearly tell Gary was just moving his arm there a bit to get some spacing and to make sure LBJ couldn't block the shot. Tons of players do the same damn thing when going up for the layup like that.

Blazers doing nothing this game that worked successfully in the first game. They hardly looked at Nurk in the first quarter and when they did, he looked timid. The Blazers are playing two 7 footers so why are they allowing the Lakers so many offensive rebounds? That will kill them. They need to solve that problem and Collins needs to man up and play. Even Barkley called him out on that the other night.

I will say one bonus of being blown out is the media will have a field day with Lillard on this one. I bet that gets him into "prove em wrong" mode in game 3.

The media might be more forgiving if it was say a 4-5 point loss and Lillard played pretty well.

He has a stress reaction in his ankle. You go ahead and play highspeed basketball at 240 pounds with a stress reaction in your ankle.

Dame deserves some criticism for this. Careless turnovers, very few good looks created for teammates, and the team has been flat footed all night. One of the worst games of the year for him.

Not much to discuss at this point. Maybe I'll just see ya all on Saturday. Let's hope Lillard's finger is okay, Collins foot/ankle is better, and the Blazers come to play.
