Bob didn’t say that. Calling teams and talking trade doesn’t mean they want to trade the pick.

They 1000% want to trade the pick.

The report stated “likely”. That’s not what Woj said.

Now based on your behind the scenes contacts, I’d need to know names at this point because Betty from accounting doesn’t count, and she sucks at draft evals.

I think that's pretty much it. I don't' want to take on average players for a #2 pick.

Feels like Wiseman or either a guy like Booker or Beal....

The difference is that players want to be here. The Wolves already have the only 2 guys in the entire league that want to be in Minnesota. Any star is vetoing a trade to Minny in a second but they will absolutely come here.

Bob was on the phone within seconds of knowing where the pick came in.

Don’t you think that Bob has probably already had multiple talks around the league prior to tonight. And now that he has some solid info on where the pick is he’s revisiting?

They are going to go down every road and then make the best decision. One of those roads is to try and get closer to Wiseman and Edwards and anyone else they might be interested in.

Doesn’t mean there’s an eminent deal happening. It could but we don’t know and neither do you. Because Bob doesn’t even know yet.

People think Minnesota is drafting LaMelo?

Anthony Edwards seems like a better pick for the T’Wolves. They already have D-Lo running point, Edwards would be the ideal SG to pair up with him in the backcourt.

This leaves Wiseman and Ball available, and we take Wiseman of course.

Nobody is trading an unprotected pick these days.

Boston may move up if they want a big center, assuming they come up short in the playoffs. But not sure Wiseman is that and they don't have draft assets. They have #14, #26 and #30 in this draft? Not good enough for the top picks. I don't know if they have more future draft assets left any more.

Minnesota has #1 and #16. They also have Culvert that was #6 last year. Wonder how many young prospects they want to add. May may sense for them to try to add vet talent rather than load up on first round picks. There may be good players to be found at #16 but would they really want to add two first-round rookies this year?

Really the best possibility would be teams wanting to shed contracts because the cap goes down and/or the owner is taking a big financial hit, though with the stock market the way it's been going, I don't know if there will be too many fire sales because of financial reasons.

Most likely outcome is GSW uses this pick and they get a development piece. No Luka's in this draft it sounds like, that is someone ready to step in and be a star almost right away.

Here’s Bobs offer to Minny....my inside source is Jerry the Barber Shop dude who once gave Chris Gatling a fade.

He said that Bob offered our #2 pick for their #16 and the number one pick. Minny is thinking about it. Bob made the mistake of inquiring about Jacob Evans. Could blow the deal.

Trade with Bulls - Wendell Carter Jr. and 2020 #4 Pick for GSWs 2020 #2 Pick, Carter gets absorbed partially into Warriors TPE would have 10+ million left on TPE plus still a high lottery pick

Don’t need Carter Jr. Especially if I have to break down the TPE to get it done. Don’t see him as a good fit for us.

You won’t give me Markkanen so I can’t do it.

Yeah I’m certainly not giving names. Giannis wants GSW and GSW obviously want him but a lot of things have to happen. Step 1 was getting a top 2 pick. Mission accomplished there. Step 2 will be Bucks losing and step 3 is Giannis not signing super max and asking for a trade. Lots of moving parts there. If it doesn’t work out then the focus turns to Simmons or Embiid. They’ll take either one but I think Simmons is higher on the list. Plan C is Aaron Gordon. GSW don’t want that pick in any way shape or form. None. Just wait and see.

I personally have some reservations on Edwards. He looks small for today's wings. He is more like Harden or Tyreke Evans in size, while Harden is super crafty and skillful. I consider him more of a combo guard like Tyreke Evans, instead of a "3-position defender" like some analysts claim.

Minnesota will probably select him, so that will make things easy for us.

I am all for shooting for the moon and fingers crossed for a disgruntled Giannis or Emblid.

Just please don't get Ball.

Well thanks Larry Lacob that we have the 2nd pick and plenty of options. Imagine sitting at 5, wondering who drops to you and hope he's not another Ekpe Udoh.

Although there are no locks here in this draft, someone is going to fall in love with a player available at 2. The questions is do they have anything we want.

There’d be more involved than just Gordona nd the pick, I’m sure. Wiggins and the pick for Gordon, Ross and a pick is plausible

What more? We gifting the Magic a free franchise player for a player that is not proven for us and have little odds of improving. Unless they give us 2 more future picks + their 15 or whatever that's a bad deal.

Edit: and this is not the same as Cavs trading Wiggins for Love, not by a long shot, AG is a litteral role player and I rather have a combo of Warren+turner(even if it's terrible imo) than AG

Wiggins and the pick for Gordon, Ross and the a pick is plausible. Something like that. But that’s way down the road. Lacob and Myers are going big game hunting first.

What if we don't win? When next are we going to be picking top 2 or how are we extending this dynasty? Do you really believe in this FO in drafting a player that will take the reigns from Steph?

There is not a player in this draft worth trading up for. I am perfectly fine with the Bulls staying at four and taking Deni. There's probably not a workable deal between CHI/GSW, anyways.

.

Anthony Edwards and Andrew Wiggins aren’t extending anything. Especially Wiggins and the contract. Gordon is a better player on a much better deal. Take Gordon and Ross and draft Patrick Williams at 15 and the Warriors are a better team instantly.
