Don't worry about position. There isn't a single player on the roster who is guaranteed to be a high level starter at this point. Just draft best player available and look for high upside.

It's going to be Wiseman knowing MJ and Kupchak, chalk all the way, I think there is a slim chance it is Toppin (he would be my pick)

Ball-Edwards will go 1-2

I think Devonte and PJ are well on their way to becoming high level starters, but regardless I agree you pick the best player on your board position be damned.

I mean you can def go wrong, I'd not touch Wiseman this high, ever

Edwards is risky but I get it, still would prefer to not have to make that pick

my top2 is Ball and Toppin, Ball isn't making it to 3, I think he goes 1 knowing what Minnesota's GM is all about

I'd pick Obi

I don't get the Obi pick since we already have Miles and PJ.

Edwards looks good but he can also turn out to be a Tyreke Evans.

If Mitch is going to reach, I'd go for Hayes.

I would not be mad if we ended up with obi outside of the top 3 prospects hes next up followed by hayes.

Oh man...FINALLY we got some lottery luck!!! I was screaming and running through my house when I realized we were going top 4!

As of right now, for me:

Wiseman

Edwards

Ball

Just don't think Ball is a surefire player. Wiseman has a very high floor IMO and fits the need that has been glaring for years now: a tall, long, agile C. We need to stablize that position and get some serious rim protection and rim running ability. I honestly don't know much about Edwards, but consensus says he's the best guard available and would seemingly pair nicely with Graham and the rest of the young core, but my initial want as of tonight is Wiseman.

Anyways, I really hope this can be the catalyst that sparks the rise of the Hornets!!! Great to have something good happen to us

Top 2 would have been ideal but it's still a nice news after a bad night.

How about the 2nd? Really like Desmond Bane at #32, Grant Riller looks like a solid scoring playmaker to give us options at the point.

Desmond Bane would be a good pickup at 32, but I have a feeling he'll go in the late 1st.

Was rooting for you guys to get the top pick once you jumped. Either way, grats. Good draft to have top 4 anyway, pick the stud.

In my opinion we have the most versatile spot in the draft. We also have upside on the trade market and aquireing and extra pick and a player as well.

if we are to keep our pick (which I hope we do not) I would take

Hayes
Ball
Haliburton
Dotson

Thats it in that order. No other players need apply if we keep out 2 pick

Hayes at 3 wouldn't be a horrible choice. He has the best all around package of skills and size of any player in the lottery.

IDK.... The draft experts and a lot of fans have had the big 3 of Edwards/Wiseman/Ball in some order 1-2-3 for awhile. IMO, that's the first tier and then the next tier starts at 4. We hit lottery luck and we draft a guy in the second tier.....nah.

I have zero problem with us taking Blal there. I am a fan of Balls. Not a fan of wiseman or edwards at allll

Our lucky numbers
7 11 12 5
Not impressed with Lonzo Ball in his ESPN interview before the draft. Edwards appeared to be much more mature and intelligent.

Why would you want our pick to be traded?

Public speaking is tough for teenagers, but it does seem like players have gotten a bit worse at it than in previous generations. I wonder if it's been taken out of schools or something, guys seemed almost robotic and coached in past decades to say the bland vanilla response but not anymore.

To be fair to Ball, Deangelo Russell was also all over the place with his answer to the simple question of 'How do you feel about getting the #1 pick", which seemed more egregious to me since he has way more experience with interviews.

I have been so out of the loop with what has been going on during this pandemic that I completely forgot that the lottery was tonight. It's probably the first time I have missed it and the usual chat room we all have. Were we the bad luck all this time?
