I'll take it! Wow.....poor fricken Knicks. Wolves won't pick Ball so Warriors have all the leverage in the world!

If we didn't get #1 then this is the abosolute best scenario. Wolves won't take center or point guard.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread
Wiseman has to be the pick assuming this pick isn’t flipped for a proven star. No brainer imo.

So who might trade up or trade assets for Wiseman?

Wolves could trade down.

No way wolves trade down. They will probably trade down or out of pick 17 and 33. Their payroll is pretty disgusting for a poverty franchise with no fans in this pandemic and they need to re-sign some people

Dream scenario is Bulls fall in love with Ball and we trade down to 4. At 4 we might still get Wiseman. Charlotte would either pick Wiseman or Avdija.

I can't imagine them not drafting Edwards, unless he has ton a flaws we don't see. He is going to get them 15 points a night from the get go.

I kinda want the squad to pick Wiseman, Bulls need an actual center

Edwards seems to make sense for Wolves.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread
Seriously the Edwards to Wolves talk makes 0 sense, for anyone who has followed Rosas trajectory and knows what he is about
It's going to be Ball or a trade, I think GS does take Edwards and tries to develop him, maybe moves him eventually if a trade develops, but not before the trade deadline, likely next off season (2021)

Re: 2020 Draft Thread
Bad spot for the Wolves relatively speaking IMO. Best players are kind of repetitive with the strengths of their roster and the draft itself isn't really strong enough to elicit a good trade down package... especially with the whole world knowing the Warriors are open for business at 2.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread
Jay Bilas would have Wiseman as his hands down number one if it were 10 years ago.
He said he still loves Wiseman and feels like he will be an All Star. He says that it will be up to Wiseman to be able to hit threes enough to get teams to come out and respect him out there, which will help spacing.
But overall he said he loves everything about him.
I heard Wiseman interviewed yesterday and they discussed the Warriors taking him. By all accounts he’s a smart kid who hungry to learn. He said he would probably mature faster playing with the Warriors because of the veterans and the focus on winning.
To me, I work to secure Wiseman. So my trade talks start with Minnesota. I think a future pick and then possibly an adjustment on the pick protection for next years pick.
I don’t see Minny being as bad as this year, next season. So moving the pick protection back somewhat might be something that helps get the move done.
That’s what I would do. No idea what the Warriors are gonna do.

I wouldn't be so sure. I don't think they'll take Edwards. They'll be turned off by his lack of shooting. I think Ball is a possibility and they might realize that Wiseman is the best player and just do that and go twin towers and move KAT to PF.

Re: 2020 Draft Thread
Regardless of who we all may have higher than most (in my case Poku and Okongwu), the reality is we are likely between Edwards and Wiseman (unless the crazy chance they love Ball or Deni).
Not a bad place to be at all. I think Wiseman and Edwards both have perennial all-star potential. In fact, along with Poku, I think they are the 3 highest ceiling players in the draft. Lets hope Bob picks the right one.
Or we trade it for Giannis/Embiid/Simmons/etc.

You just said lack of shooting with Edwards and then mentioned Ball lol
Ball is a worse shooter than Edwards. And Edwards has the body to guard NBA players on the wing. Ball would have trouble guarding a fence post.
