There were only 12 games in the season, so 4 games is 1/3 of the entire season. To see a big improvement in that short of a time span is impressive. He got better over the course of the season, which is what you want to see.

And he finished the season with a 1-11 shooting perfomance. Regressing to the mean.

2/3 of the season he shot a percentage that would make even Corey Brewer laugh (16.6%). Mind you he did that on a FIBA distance.

Really not sure what your larger point is here.

In his last game, LaMelo Ball had 25 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. He was 1-11 from three, but in the game before that he was 4-7. I never said LaMelo was a great shooter. My point has been that he could be effective without being a great shooter.

Also, you don't regress after one game. In his first four games, LaMelo was 2-18 (11%) from three. In his last four games, he was 11-34 (32%). Call me crazy, but I think LaMelo got better at shooting from three over the course of the season.

I want to entice Cleveland by swapping picks to trade Otto for Drummond.

Flip Wendell Carter to Boston for the 14th pick

Take Haliburton @ 5

Vassell, Nesmith, or Poku @ 14

Drummond
Lauri
Vassell
Zach
Haliburton

6th man - Coby

Yeah, number 1, detroit even have Drummond any more. So I had to fix that.

I don't think it's terrible

It's not secret I'm super high on him.
One of those guys who can potentially do everything on the court and will work as hardest as they can to reach their potential.

If you just look at this highlight reel, you’d justify taking him at #2. But of course the stats and more reel tell a different tale.

Still, I’ll just say — I’m probably okay with picking the best of these 3: Deni, Hayes, Hali. Assuming Edwards, Wiseman, LaMelo go in top/3.

Well the obvious top 5 players in no order are Ball-Wiseman, Edwards, Toppin, Deni. If the bulls get any of those players they are doing good. I like Denis aggression, that something the bulls need more of with players like Markannan, Sato, Carter playing minutes. This board dont want to admit it but the bulls have very good young talent. Most of them are just injury prone or lack aggression/confidence. I think the bulls need to draft a high confidence/swagger player to balance out the team. The bulls have two confidence players in White and Lavine. Porter is confident when he plays. But I want to see Markannan and Carter get that eye of the tiger. I think if the bulls draft Toppin he has a chance to beat Markannan out of being a starter though. His defense was troublesome at times but he was a dominant force that could not be stopped offensively.

if Ball is gone, which, would happen and you can't move up for a reasonable price for him, which I think it's likely, it's Deni or Toppin to me, that's all and I know for a fact the Bulls love Avdija and what he is about

Coby White basically had a red shirt year this year with Boylen at the helm and his awful offense.

Please remember that when you evaluate him and try to cast him into a role to support your arguments.

At this point, we really don’t know much about Coby outside of the fact that he can put plenty of pints on the board.

Avidja has been my guy for awhile. People are sleeping on his athleticism. His speed with the ball is impressive. Handle, passing, good stroke though the numbers aren’t there yet. High versatility and compete traits. Most of all, I like young players with professional experience. The Luka stuff is silly and a lazy comp, but he’s talented and a good fit.

Rumors say Deni and Hayes are who AK likes.

I’m not positive Deni will be there at 4. If Dubs can’t find a trade Deni would fit really well with them.

GS likes Deni but they have Edwards nº1 and he will be available to them

I'm pretty all in on Deni or Hayes. The playmaking from both could really open up this offense, and can keep Lavine from having to play hero ball just to keep us in games. Both have some questions on shooting, but I don't see any glaring reasons why that wouldn't improve. Hayes has already improved a bit there, and has solid mechanics. Deni's FT shooting still worries me some, but he was much improved after the hiatus.

I want no part of Toppin. You can see the offensive potential, and I'm still a bit intrigued, but big men who don't play defense or rebound are huge red flags for me. Wiseman/Ball may also fall depending on if there are any trades. If we go for a Wiseman, I would hope to have a Wendell trade setup for draft night. Ball has real boom/bust potential, and may end up being the best player in this draft, but I'm still skeptical.

Dude White was 7th and picked relatively high. Ball is a consensus top 3 pick has superstar potential. I dont care if White gets dumped if Ball develops. all in on him.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been estranged from the Bulls waiting for GarPax to go, so I didn’t watch White. I thought the takeaway from S1 was generally positive and that he had Star upside. But I don’t know White’s style. If the Bulls took Ball, can White mix and match at PG and SG? He should be able to get starter quality minutes as a 6th man. Basically you don’t need to trade White if you take Ball.

Anyways, for the Bulls I think you shoot for the stars. You take the player with the most superstar potential that is available. The Bulls are in a position where they can roll the dice a bit IMO. They don’t need a safe high floor guy. If that guy is Ball, let’s do it

I don't believe that Ball will be a superstar, most likely we're going for another overhyped player.Hopefully the Bulls won't pick him if available. We won't be contending next year so I'm for drafting the best project available for developing him slowly.Today my choice would be between Okoro or Avidja.

I honestly think 1 of Edwards, Ball or Wiseman will be available. There is not consensus too guys. One of the teams ahead of the Bulls will fall in love with a player most people have a bit lower and the Bulls will have the one that falls.

Mark my words, one of those 3 will be available at 4

Wiseman would be my pick of these 3 , Edwards won't be available so it's likely Ball will go by #2 or#3.

Wasn't it the combine or workouts when Ja really caught people's attention and made his case for 2nd overall pick? Maybe it's eyes on the combine...

That's why I'd pick him with #4, watched highlights and that impressed me.

Nope. not picking Deni at 4 although I am huge fan unless he proves he is Doncic lite.
Remember Doncic went #3 so if Deni is not even close no chance. Hes someone I am comfortable at 7.

Pick number 4 is great in that you can trade up for Ball or down or even out for a unprotected 2021. Theres no need to be forced or pressured to pick someone if your uncomfortable.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!
