Well, both were expected to be Top 5 picks, but for injury reasons they fall. Nuggets took a chance and really made it.

Unfortunately our draft picks are really really bad, we get Top 6 picks and draft guys that clearly doesn't belong there and that we don't need (another frontcourt player?). In the past 5 drafts we basically have added Isaac and he only plays 30 games per season. That's it!

Nuggets in the past 5 drafts has drafted Mudiey (7), Jamal (7), Hernangomez (15), Beasley (19), Monte (51) and MPJr (14), BolBol (44). Even their bench players are better than all of our picks except Isaac. And I am not even counting that in 2014 they have drafted Jokic (41).

I dont really blame Isaac selection. He’d be really good if only he could stay on the court. He just moves too guard-like for his size that his moves tests his body’s limits. Wishing Isaac’s speedy recovery and a healthy career from here on out.

But man, MPJr is exactly what we needed since we traded. If we’re just going to be holding out players their first yr, we should have just taken those guys tbh.

I know no one can predict injuries like what Bamba has or Isaac, but the talent is undeniable. Watching Bol Bol intercept a pass and do and coast to coast was depressing as a Magic fan. LOL i wish Bamba was as energetic as he was.

Imagine how energetic will Bamba be after Covid-19...

MPJr got selected to the Bubble 2nd-Team averaging more than 20/10 :noway:

I've really enjoyed watching this bubble tourney and am so glad basketball is back, but that's exactly what I see it as, a tourney. This feels nothing like playoff basketball imo. Dallas and LA both putting up 60 plus at the half. Two teams already scored 130 earlier today.

I just don't know what to make of it.

Talk that the smaller gyms with no fans and background lighting is making it a shooters dream. There’s no awkward lighting overhead and it’s just court lighting and baskets.

That bench is poop. Caruso isn’t anything special, Green is aging, KCP is a fraud. If AD and Lebron don’t have ELITE nights they’re going to have trouble.

Luka is just an all-time type of offensive talent imo. He's one of the most enjoyable players to watch. I do not care how good Ayton, Bagely, or Trae end up..This is an all-time talent those teams passed on and they will have to live with it.

Phoenix could've had a Luka and Booker back court...

Agree...he appears to be on a Bird trajectory right out of the womb. Like you’ll always have a shot while he’s around. Might not be MVP but probably in the mix for a decade.

Luka is just on another level when he is running offense. Guy in his second season ever ,as main ballhandler, not only almost averaged triple double, but also set nba all time record with team via- highest offensive rating ever.
And guy was not even top 3 pick

Portland desperately needs a 4 that can guard. Nurkic got absolutely worked tonight trying to cover AD/Lebron in space. Its too hard to find success with that Nurkic/Whiteside lineup against strong forward play because the great teams (which is what Portland wants to be) will just spam PnR's to get Nurk switched on them in space and score at will.

AG is such a perfect fit there. It just seems too obvious that we get some sort of deal done with them this summer.

I don't know what Portland has that we would want, but yeah... this is the problem with bigs that can't defend in space. They are a massive liability on switches. It's not just centers, but anyone that isn't capable of holding their own at the defensive end is going to get a pick-and-roll thrown at them and they are going to get abused. Schemes only matter so much. Collapsing into the paint only works against guys that can't shoot and it only takes one bad defender to sabotage your defense.

They are missing Collins big time. He is there Isaac. A extremely mobile switchable big. I love watching him play, but he is as injury phrone as Isaac :nonono:
