Well, he’s not under contract.

D'Antoni knows how to maximize talent offensively. 3&D guys do good under him, guards and basically every player steps up their offense under him. I think the Bulls would benefit from him if he were available.

I wonder if Reinsdorf would even entertain it given that he felt they had an agreement before he went to the Knicks.

Meh. I feel like Michael has pretty actively taken over Jerry's ownership input.

D'Antoni would be a big-league move though. I dunno if Arturas puts himself, the org and D'Antoni under that kind of pressure with a young developing roster. At D'Antoni's price-tag, everyone would expect Coby or Zach to become Harden, and it's probably not the way it would happen. Get a young coach, the expectations are much more reasonable, not to mention coach payroll.

But I've long supported Pringles through his ups-and-downs.

I'm not a D'Antoni fan but I will admit the idea of him as coach here intrigues me. Especially if you take either Deni or Wiseman at #4.

I said intrigued, not interests. Do not take this post for more than that.

Not to be a Debbie downer if D’Antoni is fried I doubt he have interest with a rebuilding team with his age and at this point if his career he want to coach a team who is a win now mode.

Folks should go back and read the articles about when the Bulls almost hired D'Antoni the first time around. There is literally no way he'd consider the Bulls while Reinsdorf owns the team and there is no way Reinsdorf would consider him.

Well, Mr, Reinsdorf is for sure a guy who does NOT forget what happened in the past :D D'Antonio is not even a small possible thought!

"....As Mike D'Antoni was set to be introduced as the Knicks' new coach, Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf told the Chicago Tribune that the former Phoenix Suns coach "misled" him in his talks with Chicago, saying he didn't want to coach the Knicks.

"I'm disappointed in him," Reinsdorf told the Tribune. "I don't know what else we could've done. He chose to go to New York knowing there was a good chance we would make him an offer. If he had really wanted to be in Chicago, he would've waited. Instead, he misled us. It's not the end of the world, but it is somewhat rude......"

'Antoni would not sign up for a youth rebuilding project at his age.

A guy who I think should get another chance "Somewhere" is Avery Johnson.

I was thinking of mentioning his name, But after looking up his style he is probably best suited for a veteran team with a established star already in place, rather than a young team looking to make some strides.

He is only 55
Fastest coach ever at the time to reach 50 Wins
2006 NBA Coach of the Year
Fastest Coach at the time to reach 100 wins
Fastest Coach at the time to ever reach 150 wins

If not a head coach anywhere, he could be a valuable assistant for someone.

Who else is watching Udoka during this Sixers Celts game?

He’s pretty calm.

I know this means nothing regarding being hired or not, but isnt he a college coach somewhere? Or am I mistaken?

They (Alabama) parted ways after last year and hired Nate Oats from Buffalo. He was essentially a mediocre college coach

Udoka is now free to interview.

KC thinks Udoka and Unseld are the leaders. AK will want to hire someone he knows and by extension EVs knows.

I understand different situations but if Udoka was such a hot candidate, wouldn't the 76ers just hire him? They know him more than anyone.

They may. He's the highest paid asst.

Who says Udoka would want that job over Chicago?

Didn't they hire Vinny Del Negro instead?
