well since you changed your post.. a force out doesnt matter either.. more times than not if you can get someone out at second you can most likely get the ball to first also

More times than not...but what if you hit it into one of those 1/20 plays that the only play is at 2?

It's a longer, harder throw to 1st so maybe it gets airmailed or it's bounced and the 1st baseman can't get it.

I know this.. but I just dont like it.. to much of a risk if you dont get a good jump and get thrown out.. which ppl have.. dont see the point with 2 outs.. I just feel its rather pointless and to risky for the reward you will recieve if it works since you need to score twice anyway.

now if we only needed one run.. it would have been different

If we only needed one run they would have been holding him on and he wouldn't have been going that easily.

In a two run situation with two outs I just think they should play it safe.. and not do it.. now in a one run situation.. of course you need to do it.. but of course you are usually being held on by the pitcher than..

exactly what I said.. just saying imo, i think the risk in a two run game is to much for the reward since to tie the game the person at home plate needs to get on base and score anyway..

There's nobody holding him on. They're not going to throw to 2nd in that situation since they don't care if Hall gets in scoring position. That run doesn't matter.

We need to stop this bickering about the steal and get our minds back on the right track.

I think we should fire Ned and let Graffy manage the rest of this season from crutches. As Prince stated a while ago, Graffy has respect of the younger players which I am SURE Ned doesn't.

That is what I said TRWI7.. but I am also saying that I have seen in games before that exact same play where the person isnt being held on and they have been thrown out.. it doesnt happen alot.. but it has and can.. and all I am saying is that for the risk it presents, I would rather not do it simply because I would rather have the chance to swing the bat than get thrown out and end the game with some fluke play

Tom Pipines doing sports.

"Why in the world do you put Greg Aquino in there? His only redeeming quality is his last name which goes to our assistant news director Miles Aquino."

Seriously, can we call a manager up from the minors?

I'd love to see Melvin walk into Yost's office and signal to the bullpen and a new manager walks into the office....

At least Davey and Craig have the balls to call out Ned's decision and not blame it on other pitchers.

Davey may not be able to speak English, but he would be a better manager than Ned at this point.

I blame Turnbow, Aguino and Ned Yost for this pathetic loss.

EDIT: I forgot JJ.

you all do realize that if Ned has a job tomorrow, this team won't make the playoffs and odds are they won't even finish over .500 right?
"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan

Great picture. I wish he would have asked the audience, in other words, US!!!

I'm pretty sure all of us posted on the forum before Aquino got shelled.
It's a matter of opinion, and your opinion is wrong.
