Jeremy Lin having a tough go.
Jeremy Lin having a tough go.
“My condition isn't very good because, as we all know, the competition is fierce for both teams,” he said.
“We basically play the game and hit people at the same time.
“I can understand if you hit and hurt your opponent by mistake, but [it is unacceptable] if you do it on purpose or the referee doesn't protect the players.
“We want to be safe on the court, that's all I can say. I'll leave the rest for you guys to discuss.”
Lin is one of the most fouled players in the CBA over the past few years, per league statistics cited by Chinese media and used by AFP. His coach, Xie Libin, told Chinese media:
“He went down so many times in each game," Xie told the state-run Beijing Youth Daily. “But you must appreciate that he is in his 30s and played in the NBA for many years.
“He has injuries, his nose, eyes and even his ears — he couldn't hear anything after the game.”

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I think Payne is one of those guys some pundits were talking about. Guys who look great in empty gyms. Can't miss from the 3 right now.

I know Milwaukee is resting Giannis but still, Jonas has 18/12 and NINE assists in 24 minutes.

I cannot believe Kawhi left us to play with Paul George! 2-14 and 1-7 from 3 thus far in the game.
Why Kawhi, why?!!

Yes his decision was a bad one, but can't blame him for wanting to go home. Home is home.

I heard a guy on the radio talking about young guys in the bubble. Those without wives, without families, playing basketball every other day and then back to their rooms to play video games, they're loving this. Guys with wives and kids, they are missing their family routine.
Could help explain why so many young guys are playing above their normal level.

I read this and said to myself, "I agree with everything this guys says."

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
Landry Fields is now the Assistant GM for the Hawks?!
Apparently he was a G-league GM previously. What exactly does a G-league GM do? It's not like you get to draft or make trades (or even sign players? Is that controled by the NBA affliate as well?)

Lin was very good at getting beaten up in the nba as well IIRC. I don't really see how being in your 30s would lead you to take harder fouls per say, you might get better at avoiding them.
Let's playin for 9th!

What was the general consensus on Jordan Loyd from his year with the Raptors/905? Just watched him have the game of his life in the Euroleague.

scoring in the G-league just doesn't translate into the NBA. We've watch Malcom Miller trying to break into the raptors rotation for YEARS, and every time he shoots someone would mention how his stroke is buttery smooth. Then he doesn't end up making much of an impact at all unless the game is already a stomp.
