Hard Knocks L.A. Rams/Chargers

Post#1 » by wco81 » Fri Aug 14, 2020 12:46 am

First episode was mostly about covid, how they’ll get through training camp.

Bit about Jalen Ramsey’s contract status, which he didn’t want to talk about. Joey Bosa had just signed his big extension and he was a bit emotional about his deal.

There was a Charger TE who was pissed about being cut, telling Anthony Lynn that it was **** bull.

Without preseason games and no pads until week 3 of training camp it could be tough to fill this season with enough interesting content. Hard Knocks always try to make preseason games seem like a bigger deal than they are.

Maybe doing two teams will help fill content. Might be something they could consider in the future, do a couple of teams a year. Rams and Chargers don’t seem to have the same training facilities so one film crew hustling back and forth between both camps?

Or if there were two separate crews, they could definitely do two teams.

Would be interesting to see the new expensive stadium but without preseason games, they may not get to it.

I've seen the first two episodes. This show w/out the preseason is pretty boring this year. I think the ratings back that up.

I also think they didn’t get the word out as much as usual. I had been watching perry mason and they didn’t show any commercials advertising it. I didn’t know it was on until I read this thread a week and a half ago. My friends didn’t know it was on until I told them this weekend. It is more boring, too though

McVay and Lynn both have more personality than I would have expected.

You have to be charismatic to be NFL head coaches, inspire the players and the staff.

But they're both relatively mild on the sidelines.

Looks like the Rams got a tour of the new Sofi stadium so that may be featured tonite.

Rams might have the worst branding in the league.

McVay kept looking at the shooting video on his phone over and over again like he couldn’t believe it was real.

So making the practice squad is an achievement?

If not for those extra 4 spots, none of the rookies they featured would have made the practice squads.

That Rams QB drives a Porsche and he's a practice squad player?
