You said you weren't interested in trading up in this draft. You didn't specify that meant only Collins. However, now that that is clarified if we were to trade #1 to you what is the best offer you could make. I'm thinking maybe just maybe we would accept, Reddish, #6 and your 2nd round pick assuming you have it. Not saying we would, but that would be ballpark.

My first post....

Hawks aren't interested in moving Collins for anyone in this draft. They are more likely looking to trade down.

Exactly. You stated you were interested in trading down not up. Nothing about Collins being the only player you wouldn't use to trade up with.
Is Reddish truly a great defender? If that can be confirmed I would be in on a #1 for 6 and Reddish deal. Not good defender great defender. That may make up for his shooting.

I said more likely to trade down than up.
Didn't say they would not trade up if the price was right.

OK. So what do you think is the right price. Not a steal for the Hawks price , but the right fair price?

From the Hawks on value alone:
#6 and protected 2021 1st (top 3 protected), OKC 2022 1st (lottery protected). This isn't a Zion type draft where you're going to get great value.
Me personally, I'd keep the pick and make our selection at #6.

That sounds fair and IMO better than 6 and Reddish. What would happen if the Hawks pick doesn't convey next year?

Yes, I believe that's correct. At least, I hope it is.

I love Edwards. I do not love Edwards enough to move up for him.

So if we said Reddish and 6 that would be too steep a price. It might take more than that. It won't take less than that.

Does everybody here value Reddish over Hunter and Huerter?

Nah. There's no deal for 1 that makes any sense for either side imho.

ETA: And yes, Reddish is more valuable than anyone not named Trae, maybe Collins.

If you did trade for ! would Edwards be the guy? Reddish seems like a decent player, but if you think there is much difference between 1 and 6 he's a pretty small price to pay. You still have Hunter and Huerter anyway so his absence IMO would barely be noticed.

My Wolves are hurting at SF and you look like you could use a SG so that's why I thought the Hawks would be a good trade partner. You also get the perk of getting the home town player in the deal. That's not a reason to make the deal, but it doesn't hurt IMO.

That would be a yes. Potential higher ceiling. Most think he'll wrestle the starting SG spot from Huerter if he can maintain his late season offensive production. His defense was special for a rookie.

Does Collins play seriously horrible defense? That's what those on the Minnesota board are saying against him. His offense is very good.
