I think this boycott is a strong message but after this you either play it out or call the season right?

I think making sure this isn't reduced to a rescheduling issue is the next challenge.
But for now, what a statement. I'm genuinely moved.

Why would they boycott? Magic wanted to play so I hope they win this game.

Seems like there will be no games today. Going to be interesting next few days.

You know exactly why....you just don't agree with it.

Well it's not I planned to watch them. But politics strikes again in sport!

This isn’t “politics.”

If you don't know why, you're either incredibly dense or racist.

Why would anyone agree with this?? Not playing games is going to solve what exactly? Nothing because it’s pointless. There is no reason to boycott, the NBA has gone too far.

Politics has always been in sports. Just keep that same energy when whatever teams you root for ask for tax breaks and public funds for things like building a new stadium or renovations.
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Disappointing that people want to intimidate society into circumventing due process. "Hopefully" for the NBA the uninformed presumptions of these players will turn out to be correct. Hopefully for society they'll be proven wrong and this will be shown to have been justice through and through. We certainly can't know yet. Sadly, maybe we won't ever know. So obvious we need full time body cams and mics on every LE officer in this nation.

I wont be too hard but..
Have you not noticed what is going on in America?
Have you not seen that huge BLACK LIVES MATTER on the NBA court?
Have you not looked on the back of their jerseys and noticed that it has a social injustice message?
Most people actually saw this coming today.
Remember there are players sitting out right now because they thought the Bubble would take away from their message. The league was doing their best to make sure the players can express themselves while also playing basketball.
But now another incident has happened.
What else did you think would happen in that scenario? You are missing the point of its not going to change things overnight or even prevent that next incident. Its about the players having control and making a stand and attention to this. People have had enough.

Maybe if Blake would have gotten due process he wouldn't be paralyzed.
