'Keep ya politics out ma sports!'

Says person who could give a phuck about the agency of the players that actually play the game. If you don't get why they're sitting out-- that's why, you should applaud them for not aiding your ignorance with another distraction. What you will do with that information is up to you tho

I wish he was a Heat so that I could unconditionally love him like I should.

I'm hopeful of Clippers shambling so that we might get him someday. His family can all move to Miami too. It's practically exact the same as SoCal imo

LOL he manages well though. I wish Wade could have done what Kawhi does and prolong his 08 form for a couple more years.

I've accepted that Kawheezy likely never becomes a Heatle, but can still stan for him. The fact he's a low key savage makes it even better

Still feel we could've offered a better package than the Raptors to nab him from San Antonio - DeRozan and Poetl ain't it bruh (not that JRich + Winnie + ??? would've been much better I guess). I would've liked to have seen if Riley could've managed to keep him, with the lure of Jimmy coming too.

At first I was upset to hear that games were postponed and potentially ending, because I love basketball and its one of my favourite things to enjoy in this world. I wasn't sure that this would change anything because its not as if these games influence anything the crooked politicians in Washington do.

But after reflecting on it more that doesn't matter. If I was a black man in America right now I wouldn't want to be a tool for anyone's entertainment, no one in that country deserves that privilege until things change. So until things change I would likely sit out too.

People who don't see the way players do won't change their minds because of a boycott. Sure the boycott will bring some attention to it but it will be eclipsed by the election and covid 19 talk in the news cycle.
If there really want to see policy and action change. Do what Lebron is doing in mobilizing people to vote. There's millions of people who feel the same way who didn't vote last time.
If the players leave the bubble and go to street and protests, I think that would have minimal effect. If they leave and start getting involved in the election and get people that support their views at the local, state and federal level that will have a bigger impact.

Now I may be biased. I'd like for the playoffs to continue and as well for players to follow Bron and get involved in election to push for change that way.

If they leave more power to them. I just hope they understand the ramifications of leaving. They will loose more money and will have more restrictions on player movement.

If you are still questioning I suggest go back and watch Doc's post game yesterday and LeBron's a couple days ago. They couldn't care less if the szn was cancelled today and they are the head coaches of two championship favorites.

If it has minimal effect then so be it, any support or/and advocacy, for any issue, matters. Systemic racism, or anything systemic at all, works like a Rube Goldberg machine where all the parts are important. We wouldn't be talking about this if it didn't matter. People said Kaepernick kneeling during the anthem didn't matter, and we're here in part because it mattered.

Yes, you are biased; you want the season to continue for the virtue of your entertainment, they've stopped playing to point out that this matters more(to them especially, andit should to you). You have fans like MorbidHeat who's claimed that he's been able to watch the NBA though the players and their progressivism have been an annoyance, and suddenly now his whole world has moved. The change starts in the hearts and minds of people before they're reflected at the ballot box. Even if he's disaffected by their gestures he knows now and that's a powerful message
