Different positions granted but if we’re moving Jo then we need that kinda value ( Beal + ) coming in return.
Just curious, with your new line up but is Ben still the primary ball handler? Think it’s crucial we take advantage of Bens strengths, ie playmaking, height, defence, rebounding.
The only criticism I would have would be adding additional perimeter offence. High 3 pct shooting.
I project Ben to be dominantly as ball handler on transition with Beal and CJ hunting 3s on transition like how Jj used to. Crazy thing here is opponents C can’t also just rush below the rim on transition to protect the paint because Al can hit 3s.
Then on halfcourt, it’s going to be CJ and Beal running constant pick and rolls with ben as the roll man as primary but you can also have Ben bring down the ball like how Draymond is with CJ and Beal playing the Curry and Klay role playing off ball. Al Horford or even Ben can also play like how Bogut used to plan for the Warriors.
This way you can make the most out of Ben and Al Horford.
I’m a Sixers fan first than a specific player fan. And as much as I dont like Ben that much, I think if we have to trade one of them, it’s Biid that has to be traded.
So the more i think of it right now..
if we hold unto them, Ben is the guy who has to make a leap on his development.
If we have to trade one of them, Biid is the guy who has to be traded. One of the biggest factor is assets in return like I don’t think Wiz would want a Ben and Wall pairing. Then I think you’ll always have to sacrifice your offense for post play with Biid. Then I think there’s a big problem that most people know about Biid’s conditioning. Like you need a Thomas Bryant or Al Horford to full time be his back-up.
Then Looking at how the playoffs right now is being played, it’s as if having a good center is a liability than an asset. A good center like Jokic or Vuc or Biid would want post touches. And if he gets post touches he can’t expand that much energy on defense. So he is likely to drop on PnR defense.
Yeah I can wholeheartedly agree for the most part.
Would Anthony Davis LAL be the exception of the good centre as an asset as opposed to a liability? PnR with LeBron & Davis usually looks solid ( unfortunately )
Because AD plays 60% PF now with the Lakers it’s the most times he played PF for his career. For instance last season be played 96% at C.
Lakers understand the importance of a double big line-up. AD can step out while they have D12 or McGee to rotate to the paint and block shots. We had a similar built but are one of the worst in the league in rim protection
AD works because he is like a pogo stick around the rim, something Biid is not. He can also shoot mid range jumpers and some 3s. While have the footspeed to switch at the perimeter and Bron is big enough to switch to the opponent C.
Ive said it before how Lakers is Sixers blueprint to win with Ben and Jojo. Sadly, Bron and AD are playing like 24-27 year old studs while Biid and Ben plays like guys who are past their prime.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

We need to get Gary Harris on this team.
We can offer them Richardson, Scott, Smith and a 2nd.
or
We can offer them Horford (to replace what Millsap gave them) and take on additional salary from a 3rd team or Barton.

I think we would have to pay heavily to make it feasible (more than one 1st round pick). To which point it doesn't make any sense for us.

That's a pretty fair deal for both sides. We may be able to get Craig thrown in as he'll be buried in that rotation going forward with Bol Bol and MPJ emerging.Kobblehead wrote:We need to get Gary Harris on this team.

Downgrading for why?... I do like Harris' on ball defense better.
In for the idea of throwing in Barton and Horf though.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread 2019-2020 Post Season
I don't think going from Richardson to Harris is a downgrade.
Neither of them can score off the dribble, but only one of them can defend. So Harris is just, by default, a more useful playoff player.
Having Harris and Thybulle playing 25 minute roles on the wing in the playoffs is going to make us a significantly better defense.
We still have more work to do (shotcreation help), but getting another playoff-worthy wing (unlike Milton/Korkmaz/Richardson IMO), will go along way to improving our viability in the postseason.

Hell no. I think Richardson has been a terrible defender for years now. Terrible in his final year with Miami and terrible this year with us.

Proof that having length and being an athlete doesn't make a bad defender any less of a sieve.
Harris has been just as defensively terrible as Saric in the playoffs.
Richardson was just as defensively terrible as Redick had been for us in the playoffs.

I dont know man.. but I thought Jrich played good defense during the Celts series.
JRich limited his opponents to just 38% shooting and with -7 dfg% during that stretch. And he defended Kemba and Tatum.

I think J Rich actually guards bigger guys better than smaller quicker guards like Kemba. Harris is an elite guard defender but i'm only interested in swapping Rich for him if it's to dump Horf. He's becoming a bit underrated by our fanbase.

Calling josh richardson a bad defender and a sieve is ridiculous..
Then I saw someone wants lonzo on this team and still thinks he can be good. I thought that was beyond ridiculous until I saw its the same guy that thinks simmons is good LOL.
So now he thinks simmons and lonzo should be on the same team. Lord have mercy

I think if you look beyond the memes and his dad you'll find a solid player in there. He's a good ball handler, one of the best passers in the league and a great defender with underrated athleticism. Think he would thrive as a backup pg and I think his linkup with Jojo would be really nice. His 3 ball is up to around 38% on 6+ attempts per game also. Good stuff since he's been fixing his form.

You need to look up synonyms for the word "sieve".

Thinking he should have been played at PG like he was in college makes me an apologist? Ok
Atleast turner could dribble past a drfender 1 on 1 in the halfcourt. Ben cant
