when did this happen? he is the one who stood spurs up AND got a lot more money when he decided to switch and go with the knicks.
When he agreed to go to the Spurs, he agreed to it b/c even though he didn't feel he was getting paid his worth, he felt that he had been screwed by the market. I think this is what Green89 was saying.
Also, I'm not even sure he made more money with the Knicks due to state tax laws (he must have? but I read otherwise somewhere), although it was a one year deal that enabled him to get minutes on a bad team, get publicity in a big market, and seek a new contract the following offseason.
